Can i connect the router to pc,not the other way @,???

Nope. The router has and uses translations like ARP (Address Resolution Protocol) and other protocols that are a required part of most Ethernet networks via OSI layers. Plus it must assign IP's. Your network card just can't preform those task like sending data packets to and from to find their destination and keep them from being jumbled data.
You may be able use it as hub, but you won't get wireless.

I have two ParkerVision WR1500 4-port Wireless DSL/Cable Routers. The first one I have connected my Ethernet Cable from my modem to the WAN port. This is where I get my Internet Signal. My understanding...

You won't get internet connection that way because there is no connection between the first parkervision and the 2nd one.
Best way is use only one parkervision router. Connect WAN port to modem for internet, 1st lan port connect to your pc and 2nd lan port connect to 2nd pc in other room. 2nd way is, use only one parkervision. Connect WAN port to modem for internet, 1st lan port connect to your pc, setup wireless SSID and connect your 2nd pc to this router for internet wirelessly. Assuming your 2nd pc has wireless capability.

Can not connect to the internet through router if i hook up the internet straight to computer it works but when i try through the router the computer has no internet connection but it picks up the router

Some cable modems look for the MAC address of the computer until reset. You can either enter the MAC address from the PC into the MAC spoofing setting on the router OR disconnect and unplug the cable modem for 24 hours and start over. First, plug in the cable modem and connect the cable. 2nd, plug the router cable into the modem and router and plug in the router's power supply. Then connect the computer and it should work fine.

DGN2000 router problem. I have 2 pc connected on the router and only the main one has access to the internet. Am i doing something wrong with the settings or does my router has a problem? Is it true that...

I'm not aware of any problem with the DGN2000 that only lets you connect 1 computer (If it was I dont think they would sell many and EVERYBODY would know about it)

Anyway - try swapping the network leads over (remember which port is the "live" one) does the other PC now have internet access and the 1st one not?

if the 2nd pc DOES have internet access the yes you have a suspect router.
if the 1st computer DOESN'T have Internet access you have suspect router.

if the 2nd pc DOESN't have internet access but the 1st pc DOES - then the problem is something on the 2nd pc.

Hope this helps.

Connection issue

Hi! I believe your having some issue with your router and I will be more than glad to assist you in this concern..Time warner cable is your isp and if the computer is connected directly to the modem, you have a perfect internet connection but if you are going to connect the cable from your modem to the router and you connect your computer to port 1 to 4 of your router it will not give u an internet connection. This is what we are going to do.
1. connect your computer that can get an internet connecttion thru time warner cable to the router on port1.
2. pull up a browser and type in the default gateway of the router, to check the default gateway of the router, right click the network icon on the lower right of the task bar and click status and it will show the ip address, subnet and default gateway, ex the default gateway is 192.168.1.1, u are going to type in the default gateway ip address to the url of the browser.
3. It will ask u for the username and password, by default the username is admin and the password is 1234 or just leave it blank.
4. It will pop up the setup page of the router and you have to look for the setting for doing a mac clone, you need to clone the mac address of your pc that can connect to the internet thru time warner cable modem.
5. once its done, save the settings and on the internet connection settings, manualy configured it to auto-dhcp. save the settings.
6. once its done..unplg the power of the computer, router and modem.
7. cable connection should be, cable from the modem goes to the WAN port of the router and connect cable on port 1 of the router to your computer on the lan port.
8. Plug in 1st the power of the cable modem, once all lights are lit then plug in the power of the router, once all lights are solid on the router, like the power, WAN, u will notice that there is no light on the port1, computer is still off, once the computer is on port1 will lit, then power on the computer..once computer is completely boot up, pull up a browser and it should gives u an internet connection.
9. Once you have an internet connection, u can access again the setup page of the router to setup the wireless connection settings.
10. If you are going to connect another to the existing router that is conneted to the time warner cable. that is possible, but before u connect the 2nd router to the 1st router..
a. connect the 2nd router to a computer to set it up..you have to access the setup page of the 2nd router.
b. once you access the setup page, there is a menu for the lan settings that is for the router side. u need to change the 3 octet of the ip address of the 2nd router. ex your 1st router ip address is 192.168.1.1 and the 2nd router ip address is 192.168.1.1 to change the 3 octet of the 2nd route, the 2nd router ip address should be 192.168.2.1. then save the settings..
c. the router will reboot and need to access the setup page of the router by using the 192.168.2.1 and u can set the wireless connection settings.. once its done..
d. cable connection should be---cable from the time warner cable goes to the WAN port of the 1st router, connect a cable to port 4 of the 1st router going to the WAN port of the 2nd router.. this process is called cascading two routers on a network.. this should work.. good luck

wireless has limited range and can be affected by walls, doors, glass. Some models of routers if they have removable antenna's can be replaced by highgain antenna's which can drastically improve your range.

Set up 2 wireless routers, 1st for printer, 2nd for internet

You should only need one wireless router for everything. The purpose of the router is to "route" multiple devices together. Your set-up should be something like this:

Modem connected to wireless router via Ethernet cable.
Wireless router broadcasting wireless internet connection.
Computer(s) connected to wireless router via cable or wireless adapter.
Computer with network printer sharing enabled.
Turn on wireless printer.
You should be able to detect the printer via Windows.

Linksys Wireless WRT54G vs. WET54G

For what it is worth, I fhave found streaming video does not function well using a wireless connection. The options of multipale routers will work as long as you configure them as to not have conflicting IP address assignment's via DHCP, and the routers do not have matching IP address's. Never fear all is possible with paticence. BPCS

No connect with 3com router so what to do

A router connects to a modem. It also connects to computers in your building. Which end of this are you having trouble with? You can tell what is connected to your router by the lights on the front of it. There should be a light labelled WAN, modem or Internet. Is it lit up? There should be other lights for the connections to computers. Are they lit up? Is it a wireless router and are you connected to it that way? If so, other questions must be answered. On the internet side, check your modem to see if it has connected to the outside world. Consult the manual to see what the lights indicate. There is a procedure that must be followed to make the connection to your internet service provider, including making arrangements to pay for the service and getting a user name and password. If you want help on that from here, you must provide the name of your service provider and a description of the modem and its lights and tell us what you have done so far. On the computer side, you need cables to connect the computers to the router. The operating system on the computer may make the connection automatically, but quite likely some setup will be necessary. On a Windows computer, you would begin in Start-control panel-networking-Network Setup Wizard.
