If the anti-flood device has activated on your AEG dishwasher, it means that water has leaked into the base of the dishwasher and triggered the safety device. The anti-flood device is designed to prevent water damage to your home and shut off the water supply to the dishwasher.
To resolve this issue, you will need to locate the source of the leak and fix it. Here are the steps you can take:
Turn off the dishwasher and unplug it from the power outlet.
Disconnect the dishwasher from the water supply and move it away from the wall.
Check the inlet hose, outlet hose, and drainage hose for any cracks, damage, or loose connections. Tighten any loose connections and replace any damaged hoses.
Check the dishwasher door and gasket for any damage or debris that may prevent it from closing properly.
Check the dishwasher's interior for any leaks, such as a cracked spray arm or a damaged pump.
Once you have fixed the leak, you can reset the anti-flood device by tilting the dishwasher to one side to allow the water to drain out of the base. Then, level the dishwasher and plug it back in.
If you are unable to identify or fix the leak, it is recommended to call a professional technician for assistance.
There is a water level pressure switch that is your issue. Replace that or if youre lucky, clean the hose/pipe connected to the pressure switch and it could work again.
it sounds like the round float toward the left front of washer is not rising to cut off water. I have had this happen to mine. u need to see if it is stuck try moving it up and down to make sure it moves freely
Most faults can be referred to the fact that the Anti Flood Overflow device has activated.
Modern day dishwashers like those manufactured that have a built in safety feature protecting the dishwasher against flooding. The technical term is 'Anti Flood Device'.
In the base of the dishwasher in the plinth there is a float switch. This is your 'Anti Flood Device'. In the event of your dishwasher over filling, the plinth fills with water, the float rises and actuates the switch.
Firstly, it will send a signal to the programmer device to notify there is a fault and output a message in the form of a code to some sort of display.
Secondly, the pressure switch acts as the water level indicator for the sump of the dishwasher so when the water level rises the pressure switch will activate the drain pump.
So before you consider throwing good money at new dishwasher, try doing a bit of fault finding your self and you might save yourself a ton of money.
The answer is that you don't reset the anti-flood device. The anti-flood device re-sets itself when there is no risk of a leak. I don't really understand why you emptied the salt tank . . . ?
I cannot help you any further than this as you haven't specified your brand and model of dishwasher. If you can post these, I will try try to help further - if it's a model I support.
Check to see if water at the base of the washer has caused the "anti flood system" to trigger. The anti flood device is a polystireene float and micro switch that does trigger (and puts the washer in pump out mode) once water via leak or spill is detected. You can tilt the washer to 45 degrees and check if a small amount of water comes out of the bottom. As you indicate that the washer emptys after 5 sec I do think that the anti flood system is causing this.
Got this tip from another board. Unplug and disconnect machine. Take machine out and tip 45 degrees to empty water in base of unit. Put everything back together. Thats it. Worked for me.
I also had this problem, it was the automatic anti-flood device, the upper spray arm water pie was leaking into base off unit which operated the anti-flood device.
Hope this is of some use to you and others
I managed to clean the filter inside the dishwasher and drain a little residual water. I then re-plugged in the appliance and the anti-flood device seemed to reset and I have n't had any problems since.
most bosch have the inlet valve at the end of the fill pipe and it has an anti-flood device.
try turning off the water, take off the fill pipe then reconnect it and see if this works.
taking off the fill pipe resets the anti-flood device
it will not drain water
