Question about Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) Console
Once i turn on the PS3 it comes up with the usual black/grey screen with the wave effect but the home menu doesnt load up. It just stays as a black screen with the grey wave effect. I tried just putting a game/dvd in but nothing happens.
Hello. Try a different hard drive. I have only seen a couple machines do this, but replacing the hard drive fixed it both times. Thanks!

Or...if like me, you feel as though the global credit-crunch might munch up your wallet - simply phone Sony customer support. If you're in the UK the number's 08705 99 88 77.
They'll only swap your machine for a brand new one, with an en-suite hard drive that works.
It's the best solution and easiest: all you gotta do is sit back and wait 3 days for them to do it and it doesnt cost you a thing!

a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
