The ringer won't stop ringer

I turned the phone off-still rings. this has been going on for 21/2 hrs.

Remove the battery leave it out for about 5 mins and put it back in

I have a Meridian 9316 phone in my office and it continuously rings with no pause how to I stop the ringing besides from turning the volume off


Setting the ring tone and ringer volume You can choose one of the four different ring tones and set the ringer volume. To set the ring tone and volume: 1. Make sure that the ringer is turned ON. 2. Hi.

From the main menu, you need to go to initial settings and then Ringer Settings. From there adjust your ringer volume and ringtone.

My phone stopped ringing


You may have turned your volume very low or you may have muted your phone (turned off the ringer). Check your volume and ringer settings.

Adjusting the Ringer Volume

You can choose from four ringer volume settings (off, low, medium, and high) separately on each handset or the base.

With the phone in standby, press or on the handset or VOLUME or VOLUME on the base. The handset or base sounds the ringer at that level.

Use on the handset or VOLUME on the base to make the ringer volume louder. Use on the handset or VOLUME on the base to make it softer or turn it completely off.

When you hear the ringer volume level you want to use, stop pressing keys.

The handset or base will use the new ringer volume starting with the next incoming call.

Note: If you set the ringer volume to Off, the handset or base won't ring. Other handsets or base will ring according

to their individual settings.

Probably is the alarm that u still have it on, try turning it off to see if it stops.

How to inactivate melody ringer


Base unit ringer tone
(use either the handset or the base unit)
Make sure the base unit is not being used.
Setting the base unit ringer tone by using the

• The handset will ring and the ringer tone will
change. If the ringer volume has been turned off,
the handset will not ring

5 Press Save, then press [OFF].
Press VOLUME [<] or [>], then select the desired ringer tone by pressing
[1] to [7].
[1] to [3] : Bell ringer patterns [4] to [7] : Melody patterns
• After pressing VOLUME [<] or [>], the base unit will ring using the current ringer
tone.
• The base unit will ring and the ringer tone will change.
• To stop ringing, press [STOP].
1 Press [MENU].
2 Scroll to “Initial setting” by pressing [d] or [B], then press

4 Press Select at “Ringer tone”.

goto the name and hit store it will restore the name and when going threw the store process it should show you old parameters
or goto phonebook find name and edit its preferences for that name phone ringers are set ringers so when you pick one for gereral use thats going to be the general use ringer but special ringers is what i descriped in first part
menu handset setup then ringers for a general ringer you can change to a more pleasing ringer but over all cant turn off
