Okay so my phone tends to freeze up and my sister said hitting the up key on the arrow pad would work but that hasn't. So I have just taken out the battery to restart the phone. This time though all my text messages I had sent, receive, or in draft disappeared and I cannot send or receive any text. Every time I try to make a new text it just sends me back to the main message screen. Help please. Texts are the only way people get a hold of each other at my school!!

Hi, from the question you posted, there are three likely problems to the phone. One it's either the key button pad is bad which needs to be replace, the interface of the key button pad is dirty which needs to be cleaned, or the glass I.C which controls the key button is bad which also needs to be replaced. But i think what the problem is the cleaning of the key pad button interface because the buttons are working but they only misrepresent whatever function you try to perform on the phone. You just need to get a mobile phone technician or an electronic repairer around you to help service and clean the board and key pad button interface, and the phone will start working fine..
This happens to all KRZR phones and there is no way around it. The KRZR has many software defects that Motorola will not fix because the phone is outdated. This shouldn't happen all the time, but it will probably happen a lot.
If you cant send a text at all, try a software upgrade.
I had the same problem twice when I changed service on the phone, once when I asked to change from a fixed rate for 200 messages per month to pay-per-use and the second time when I changed phones out with the same number. They just turned off my text messaging and I had to call to have them reactivate it. Help this helps.
