Install ink cartridges for an Epson 315 workforce

If you do not want to go through the guide, here is a quick instruction on how to insert the ink cartridge.
Remove and Install Cartridges Be sure you have your replacement cartridges handy before you begin. You must install new cartridges immediately after removing the old ones. Caution:
Do not open ink cartridge packages until you are ready to install the ink. Cartridges are vacuum packed to maintain reliability. If an ink cartridge is low or expended, you see a message on the WorkForce 310 Series LCD display screen indicating which color to replace. Press OK. If you're replacing a cartridge before you see a message on the WorkForce 310 Series LCD display screen, press the ink.9.7.1.jpg Copy button, press ink.9.7.2.jpg Menu, press ink.9.7.3.jpg or ink.9.7.4.jpg to select Maintenance, and press OK. Then select Ink Cartridge Replacement and press OK. 1. Open the scanner, then open the cartridge cover. ink.9.7.5.jpg 2. Squeeze the tab on the cartridge and lift it up. Dispose of it carefully. If ink gets on your hands, wash them thoroughly with soap and water. If ink gets into your eyes, flush them immediately with water. Keep ink cartridges out of the reach of children. 3. Before you open the new cartridge package, shake it four or five times. Then remove it from the package. ink.9.7.7.jpg Caution:
Do not touch the green chip on the front of the cartridge. This can damage the ink cartridge. 4. Remove the yellow tape from the bottom of the ink cartridge. Caution:
Do not remove any other labels or seals, or ink will leak. 5. Insert the new ink cartridge into the holder and push it down until it clicks into place. 6. Once you replace all the cartridges that need replacing, close the cartridge cover and push it down until it clicks into place. ink.9.7.8.jpg 7. Close the scanner. 8. Having trouble fitting new ink cartridge

Hi, when an ink cartridge runs low in your HP Officejet 5610 All-in-One printer, you will see a message on the printer's display screen. Faded-looking text or pictures also indicate low ink. Ensure print quality by replacing ink cartridges when they run low.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

* HP #27 or #56 black, #22 color or #58 color photo print cartridge, or compatible equivalent

Turn printer on if it is off. Never attempt to change the ink cartridge if the printer is off. If it is off, it will not properly position or release ink cartridges, and attempting to change the ink cartridges may damage the printer.

Open the print-carriage door, located on the right side of the printer. The print carriage will automatically move into the access area.

Push down on the top edge of the cartridge you are replacing to pop it out of its slot. Remove the print cartridge and discard or recycle.

Pull off the protective tape on the new print cartridge using the pink tab. Do not touch any part of the cartridge except the black plastic. Touching the contacts or ink nozzles under the protective tape can damage the cartridge and result in poor print quality.

Hold the cartridge upright and push gently forward into the empty ink cartridge slot until it clicks.

Close the print-carriage door.

If you remove an ink cartridge for later use, protect the ink supply area from dirt and dust and store it in the same environment as the Epson Stylus CX8400 Series with the label facing upward. Note that there is a valve in the ink supply port, making covers or plugs unnecessary, but care is needed to prevent the ink from staining items that the cartridge touches. Do not touch the ink cartridge ink supply port or surrounding area, and do not store the cartridge upside down.

If you remove a low or expended ink cartridge, you cannot reinstall and use the cartridge.
