Question about Dryers
While using the dryer it is making a very loud chirping noise, regardless of how much we are drying. It happens about 60% of the time and is sometimes louder than others. What is this and how can we fix it?
If this is a GE/Hotpoint dryer then I can tell you exactly what it is. The rear drum bearing is worn down. WE3X75. To replace it you must remove the drum. This involves opening the door and removing all screws holding down the top. Then removing those holding the front on. Then removing the drum itself. This is not a hard job for a mechanically inclined indiviual.
