Your operating system Win XP is too far out of date. You have Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10, between you and the present day. All support for XP finished 3 years ago.
After April 8, 2014, Microsoft will no longer provide security updates or technical support for Windows XP. Security updates patch vulnerabilities that may be exploited by malware and help keep users and their data safer.
You need to update to Win 7 at least, but really, you need a new computer and Windows 10. Your computer hardware is due to fail at any time soon. If you get 10 years, you are really lucky.
hey download the bus driver first . u can get it from microsofts website
i too did the same but i have forgotten the link. sorry find the driver and first install driver for the BUS. then install the audio driver
remove the cover which has your power button and covers the LCD cables. Remove the keyboard and flip it over, being careful to not pull too hard on the cable. There's 2 small triangular silver connection pads beside the keyboard connector on the main board - connect them together and power on your computer (flat screwdriver works fine). Press the f2 key - you'll find it doesn't prompt you for a password. You can lift off the connections now. Go to exit and save changes, and you're password free.
you sould be able to update direct x to the latest version from microsoft downloads site
you will not be able to unintall directx as it is part of windows, the problem comes when games request installation of older direct x versions and then becomes corrupt, so if you have installed anything requesting directx, try and do a system restore to a date previous to the installation.
You can run this test to see which version you have installed and check for problems, click Start>run, then type 'dxdiag' and press enter.
Try to turn off automatic updates. Right-click on MyComputer icon, select properties, Click on Automatic Updates, turn off automatic updates. Maybe it's trying to download updates automatically and this will slow down the computer.
If that is the problem, you have to make sure you get all your updates manually first and then change back settings to automatically download updates afterwards.
Please let me know if this still doesn't help.
