Can't get PIP

Have Phillips 42" Plasma, Model 42PF9946, with a HD box and DVD/VCR combo connected but whenever I select Picture In Picture it says Not Available but all the manuals tell me is available. Have contacted Phillips and all they did was send me a copy of how of connections page from Manual which I have. It seems to be connected correctly because everything works fine.

I am considering purchasing a Funai Full HD UpConvert DVD Recorder/VCR Combo. I have a HD Phillips TV with HDMI connections. I do not have cable - just use over the air TV. How do I connect the Fun

Purchase a DVD recorder/player that has a HDMI cable connection and use the connections on the TV so you'll get a hi def picture. RF will NOT give you a Hi Definition picture even if it's up converted.

Need 4 screws for phillips 42pf9946-12 plasma tv to fit wall bracket

Best way to be sure is call Philips customer service with the model number to get the thread type and length of these--no two sets are the same here---usually most will be available at local hardware stores if Phillips does not sell them(that would be a bit more pricey and take time).

@leemcdowall...

your concern points to some adjustments of resolution from your set top box, as we all know all TV'S has fixed resolution doesnt matter what brand and the only way you can change that is through your source which in this set up is your Beyonwiz, please consult their manual and see if you can change the resolution in their video set up page.

Philips 42PF9946 connect with laptop

Connect to the VGA port on the laptop, using a standard video cable.

Here is how VGA port looks like on your TV:

Note on some laptop you need to activate external video output by pressing a combination of keys, this will swap between laptop LCD video and external video.

Sounds like you hit the PIP (picture in picture) button on the remote. Hit it a few more times and it should go away.

Need help getting PIP to work

You don't have a problem except you need two tuners. You say you have a VCR, which this has a tuner. Set your VCR to TV and and start the PIP and choose your VCR as the second source. You will now be watching two different channels, one from the TV tuner and one from the VCR tuner. Also just to clarify, you should have the cable wire from the wall running to the INPUT on the VCR and then a cable running from the OUTPUT on the VCR to your TV to make this all work correctly.
