Uninstall unwanted program and run disk cleanup, additionally speed up your machine by:

-- cleaning system junk
-- optimizing computer services
-- optimizing internet
-- repairing registry
-- defraging registry
-- clearing browsers junk

do these things with some secure tool such as Intel Software Partner Reginout.

Thanks

The H drive is a partition put on the hard drive by the manufacturer. There is hardly ever any excess space on this partition. They use this partition on your hard drive to store a copy of basic system load for your PC.

If your PC is running slow, I would recommend a program called CCleaner.

Here's a link to the latest edition of CCleaner

When you install it it has some options during install. I only have it create a shortcut on the desktop.
I have used this on many computers for years and I've never had a problem.

I hope this helps,

Eric

On your main drive , not a recovery drive, go through and delete any old or unwanted files ( songs, movies, pics, etc.) This will free up disk space. Then defrag the hard drive. Defrag atleast once a month, run disk clean-up every or every other day.On your web browser you can click tools, internet options, on the general tab click the delete button in browsing history, then click the delete button at the bottom.

Have you emptied the internet files? Go to tools on the toolbar, the go to options and empty temporary internet files. Run disk defragment from the start button when you are done.

How to Prevent "Low Disk Space" Error Messages?

David, this message comes when the drive is too full.

Something needs to be deleted or you may consider a larger hard drive.
Low disk space causes the computer to run really slow, with reference to disk read/write events. Move quickly.

Low disk space on recovery d

That is the recovery partition that holds the files to refresh the laptop to it's original state. If you are trying to save files to that partition, you aren't supposed to. If you aren't and explorer is showing low disk space and the computer is running fine, don't worry about it. The C: drive not having space is what will cause problems.

Laptop runs very slow asus

FIXING A SLOW COMPUTER

A slow computer could be caused by a number of things -
1. Insufficient RAM (memory) - if your computer has less than 512Mb of RAM then increase it to at least 1Gb of RAM.
2. Registry problems - clean and repair the registry, it will contain unused registry keys. Use programs such as Registry Mechanic, Microsoft RegClean etc.
3. Uninstall/remove unused programs, this will also free up hard disk space.
4. Not enough hard disk space - swap file space may need to be increased if Windows hasn't been configured to manage it.
5. Install latest Windows updates.
6. Update virus definition files and scan computer for viruses, Trojans, malware etc.
7. Clear the Internet cache for faster browsing.
8. Hard disk maintenance is required at least once a month to keep it functioning efficiently.

Why does my smartbook run slow

Hi Sharon,
Run a full scan of your smartbook with an updated antivirus. There could a viral attack on your machine making it drag. Also, the free space on your hard drive.Low disk space makes the machine to slow, delete old and unneccessary files from your machine to create as much space as possible.

Hope this helps.Thanks!

Low disk space

If you are using windows as your o/s; open the control panel, click on performance & maintenance, run a disk cleanup then defrag your drive. The recovery bar red means that the space allotted for recovery operations is very low. Hope this helps & please remember to rate my answer. Thanks.

Need to help to clean my recovery H disk is coming almost full.

A hard drive is usually partitoned, one hard drive will show up as two. The recovery drive should not be messed with. Don't add files , nor delete files from that drive.
