I had a similar problem where my TH-42PX60 would turn on but all controls were disabled. I could not change channel, input, volume or anything other than turning the TV on and off. I called customer support and they directed me to this site: http://www.pasctraining.panasonic.com/specialapplications/productfirmwaredownloads/downloads1.asp to download a firmware update onto an SD Card. I inserted the SD card into the slot in my TV and powered it on. The update took about 3 minutes and I haven't had a problem since.

The six blinks indicates that an internal fan is either bad ot blocked by dust or debris, You should be able to look in the back of the unit and see some cooling fans. Chances are one on them is not turning and will need to be replaced

You goingto need to replce the powersupply inside www.partstore.com should have it or preorder it for you from the manufacture i think there around $150 they could be cheaper. Another option is Ebay. thanks for using fixa.com please rate.

Ur tv power supply board it dead.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish power supply board for the replacement.If u know basic electronic's and soldering?Searches all around the power supply board and it supporting boards look for these parts call capacitors,it dead it,they bulges up on it top or puff up on it top.These capacitors are dead,replace them,your tv power will be stable again and work.
