Computer does not recognise Sandisk

When the memory stick is inserted in the USB on the computer does not recognise it

  • vennae_cross Jan 19, 2009

Yes I have another port but it does not respond to that either. A friend is lending me his memory stick to see if that works and the problem is with my memory stick.

They have a good return policy on them. They should be able to get you a new one right away.

Yes, you will need an adapter unless you have a card reader that accepts that specific type of card.

My computer won't recognise my sandisk card reader D33D21? Are drivers available for this on windows 7?

You should not need drivers. Chances are that the drive died. I would try putting this device in another computer first. see the results. The wear leveling mechanism on most of these drives is limited; and it will start "not working" when it's reached the end of life. A professional data recovery company can get it back usually. http://techrxgb.com

Pleeze help, ok i insert my memory card reader and computer recognises, fine, however when i insert my 16gb sandisk m2 memory card.....nada, nothing, zilch!?? It says that there is no media inserted and...

Hi,

This is because there is a fault in the slot where you put the memory card.
The problem is the memory card contact surface in not in contact with the memory card reader contact surfcae.

So please change the memory card reader it wil be fine.

My sandisk m2 does not get regognised on my mobile phone.

You need to isolate the problem. Try connecting the Sandisk M2 into another phone or computer (using an adapter). If this memory card is detected by other phone or computer, then you may want to insert another memory card into the problem phone to test it.

If the problem phone works using another memory card, but the problem memory card also works using another phone, then you may want to format first your Sandisk M2 before using it.

Have a great day!
