the port is physically broken. my kid jammed a toy into it. Does anyone have the Sony part no. of the usb port card for the vgc-rc110g?

Please get it repaired, or use a sepepate USB card and install it on motherboard's slot, the new USB slot card will cost you Approx Indian Rs.175/- Only, and there will be 4 to 6 USB ports will be available for you

I get a solid beep code when first turning on the unit, model vgc-rc110g, tried a different power supply same issue is happening

check the power supply....also change memory ram, processor...and last an hardware intalled redently

I want to upgrade the memory on my Sony Vaio VGC-RC110g desktop computer. It currently has two 512MB memory modules, with two open slots. Some on-line memory vendors say I should get two more of the same...

if you still have the OEM MOBO (original) then it can only use a max of 2 gigs pf ram

I have a vgc rc110g model, system is getting hot, shuts down with message saying mother board is out of range, said temp is running around 69c, back fan is running

I would open the case and have a look at the fans, likely there is a fan failure on the motherboard, my bet would be on the processor assembly. Replace the fan that is not spinning, or possibly just hit is with a blast of canned air to clear it, and the situation should resolve.

Need the motherboard layout for this board out of viao vgc-rc110g

You will find as with Dell that the motherboard etc is all custom & you cant upgrade it yourself, you have to go through Sony. I am not 100% on that but that has been the case with many branded PCs i have seen.

Can you not open the case? This usually voids the warranty but if you were intending to replace parts then it would likely be voided anyway.
