hi, how well does your daughter look after her games? if her disk's have scratches on them the xbox will have trouble reading it and will often do this. another cause is that the xbox is old the laser will be worn out and will take ages to load a game.
the 2 solutions are: 1. check the disk, if it is highly scratched go get it cleaned, most gaming stores will do it for a small fee 2. take apart the xbox (only if out of warranty and step-by-step instructions can be found on youtube) and clean it gently with a duster
if the xbox can read other games perfectly fine i would say that it might be a defect with you copy of the game. if other games have the same problem it means that the lens on your xbox is dirty or scratched. if dirty you could use a lens cleaner, but if its scratched you would need a new DVD drive put into the xbox which would have to be done through microsoft
Yeah i had the same prblem too. So it's either the game disk's have scratches in the middle of the game disk or the xbox is messed up. I would take it in somewhere to get it fixed if something is wrong with your Xbox.
# Turn console off and then on.
# Clean the disc and examine it for flaws or scratches.
# If this behavior occurs with one or two discs, search the Microsoft Knowledge Base for the specific game title(s). If you find a known problem, follow the information outlined in the article.
# Delete the appropriate saved games. See Note 1.
Copy a saved game to a Memory Unit (MU) if you have one available.
# Try three other games, and then try the original game again.
# Try the game on another console if possible.
# Replace the disc at retailer.
# Repair the console
Note 1 If a saved game file is corrupted, it can produce a disk error message in that game, particularly when the game starts. You can resolve this issue by deleting all saved game files for the affected game from the Xbox hard disk. This method is effective approximately twenty-five percent of the time. If you experience this disk error message with more than two games, this procedure will likely not resolve the issue.
Another trick to try is to turn your console so its vertical( sometimes works)
thats maybe because you play your xbox laying it flat on its side therefore the cicle scratch this could cause many errors i recomend you 1:put the xbox straight up(unless thats not the case)2: clean that disk to minimize errors if you need any more help contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org
