Question about Lexmark P4350 All-In-One InkJet Printer
If I connect my Lexmark P4350 to a USB 1 I find that windows does not start unless I unplug the printer before booting. There is no problem if the printer is connected to a USB 2 port but I dont have any spare USB 2 ports so that is not a satisfactory solution. Any ideas?
First if your USB cord is too long try to switch it out with a smaller cord. If that does not work please unplug printer boot up and enter the BIOS settings.
Then check to make sure your boot sequence is setup to Hard Disk first and not USB, you need to make sure the USB Boot Device does not have priority over HDD.
Finally make sure that USB Emulation is not turned on in the BIOS.
If all of the above does not fix the issue you may have a faulty USB port or a bad mother board.

I had the same problem - I disabled legacy USB support and the problem is fixed. Hope this helps :-)

Is the printer a USB 1 or a USB 2 item? @ hardware is not backwards compatable to 1 but a 1 item can run on a 2 port. Swap ports with the other item?
