Hello, I solved this problem. I opened the front of the dishwasher (top) and replaced the thermal fuse and then looked at the mother board. The service company had placed two wires back onto the mother-board and were placed in the wrong slot. I moved the wires back to the right location and the dishwasher has since washed to loads without any problems. The service company has been fired.
Thank you for your help,

I have a KitchenAid side by side refrigerator, model KSSC48QKS01 and the call service light is on and it is beeping every several minutes. Is there a common problem associated with this?

Correct me im mistaking but is that a buildin kitchenaid. If it is there is a service flash for evaporator fan motor. If you already changed the main board then the only other thing that can cause that is that service flash is a kit evaporator fan and the Bimetal. I would suggest to call kitchenaid and get the part number unfortunately I dont have it handy. But most likely thats the problem.

Where are the refrigerator fuses located for a Maytag msd2652keb

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service refrigeration technician.

There are no fuses in refrigerators. Individual component failure acts a fuse.

You are locked into defrost.

PART NUMBER: 67004704 - Cost: $116.00
This is located in the upper right inside your control box.
This replacement adaptive defrost control board (part number 67004704) fits several models of side-by-side refrigerators. The adaptive defrost control board starts and stops defrost cycles as the temperature of the evaporator rises and falls instead of on a set schedule.
Shut off the circuit breaker for the refrigerator before beginning this repair. Also make sure you're well grounded (Rub hands on bare metal), because electronic components can be damaged by discharges of static electricity. The board installs behind the digital display in the control panel. Procedures for removing the existing adaptive defrost control board and installing the new one vary among models.

My Kitchenaid refrigerator KSSC48QMS is humming and cuttung on and off. ????? the lightz blknk when you open the door?

First of all the flashing lights on the panel indicate a problem with the communication between the board and the evap fan motor. Now I would have a certified service person repair this as it will require the control board that needs to be sent in for repair and a fan replacement. Both part need to be replaced at the same time or this issue will not be corrected properly. Your fan has failed and took out the control board is what happened. Evap Fan motor part number is W10255195 and the control Board part number is 2252159, the board is fixable and would need to be removed to be sent out to repair (2 weeks down time is normal). The company who repairs the board is Corecentric Solutions 866-737-2244 or Rough estimate to repair is 175.00 board including shipping, fan motor about 100.00 or so and the labor to change parts as some installation of the units are difficult to change parts inside a closed cabinet, some units have to be removed to access control board in top of the unit. I hope this helped, I own this model and repair these units as well. Good Luck

GSS20IETA GE Refrig keeps frosting up every 20 days, Have replaced mother board defrost thermostat, Evaporator Fan Motor, and heat element. It still frost up

I would suspect the mother board even tho it is new because if it burned out to start with
and you didn't replace the part that blew it out then the mother board will do it again.
It could br the relay or the compressor or any number of elect problems
Here is a generic sampling of my ideas.
First I would remove the mother board and look for a burnt or black spot somewhere on either side of the board. I would change the defrost Thermostat again just for fun.(Some times they are bad)

Here is some help

A relay starts the compressor with a higher voltage and then quickly kicks out
It does a lot of clicking (trying to start over and over again)
If thats what is happening with yours
Its best for a tech to replace The relay but you can do it
Take your model number to your Local Appliance parts store they will have a diagram
showing you how to install the relay. Its called a hard start relay
I use part no ERP410 POWER START RELAY, CAPACITOR AND OVERLOAD all in one. (110 v)

I have a KitchenAid SxS model # KSRG25FTST01 with an icemaker problem. It stopped making ice, but the water still dispenses. It makes no noise and no water in the ice tray. I never hear it try to fill with...

If the thermostat behind the left side of the fill tray goes bad, the cycle will stop completely. Cost of thermostat is $20.00. Cost of new icemaker with new motor and everything including thermostat is $45.00, brand new, on EBay plus shipping. Cost for new icemaker from repair shop, $153.00 plus tax. Control board circuit panels each side of freezer compartment will go bad also stopping the ice maker cycle. these control boards come in pairs, one for each side of freezer compartment. Cost for new circuit panel control board from repair shop, $215.00. Cost from EBay brand new circuit control board $45.00 plus $8.00 shipping. Easy to install both, icemaker and control board circuit panels. Phillips screw driver and small socket set is all you need for removing and installing these items.

Had electrical prob. blew some breakers for kitchen circuit. After fix all other affected appliances/outlets etc. are fine but KitchenAid dw now does not work. No sign of life at all, no led's light on...

Hi and welcome to FixYa. I am Kelly.

With electronic controlled appliances today and in this case your dishwasher. The printed circuit board (PCB) transformers are very susceptible to power surges. The windings are just large enough for the normal operational voltages. Anything above or below that range causes the windings to fail rapidly. When they fail you do not get the 5V or 3.3 V for the LEDs ' and IC chips or the 12V for the controlling the relays for normal operation.

I don't see a model number listed for your dishwasher so I can not provide the replacement part information at this time.

Before I went into the parts changing mode I would first go back and reset every breaker in the house by:

1. Pushing each breaker with conviction to the OFF position. This completely resets the breaker.

2. As you turn each of the breaker ON push hard on the face of the breaker near the center of the main panel to ensure it remains connected / engaged to the main power buss bar.
Then go back and check the dishwasher for signs of life. If it works great! If not.... I will be watching for model number information if you need help with the dishwasher control parts information.

Just a side note... you may want to check your home owners insurance coverage (if your a home owner) to see if it covers repair of equipment other than the one that caused the original problem.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Strange noise when doors are closed

Is it the Kenmore French Door model made by by LG?  I have the similar LG refrigerator since 2/2007 and have had several problems with it.  The sound you hear may be  a fan motor that is failing or freezing up.  The noise will stop when you open the doors because that shuts off the fan motors. In the last two years I have had the refrigerator fan, the air channel duct, the mother board, the ice maker fan, the ice maker duct and the mother board (again) replaced (under warranty, fortunately).  After the first service call I installed a power surge protector since a component on the mother board was fried.  I think the second mother board replacement was due to a software change related to the ice maker issue.  There is also a case related to LG Energy Star ratings (that includes the Kenmore made by LG) that you can register for that is supposed to make free modifications and an ongoing rebate payment for as long as you own the refrigerator.  I found an LG service manual PDF on line (search by model number) that has diagnostic codes and test procedures that is very helpful when I need to troubleshoot and communicate with the repair shop.
