Hi. If the firmware update does not solve this, then it may be a hardware issue. Here are the steps to update the firmware on the remote.

1- Launch the software and log in to your account.

2- Click on 'Downloads' at the top of the screen.

3- Click 'Firmware' and follow the steps to update the firmware on the remote.

4- Update your remote.

Low battery icon on, won't recharge

Hi. If you do some research, you will find that this is a common issue with the Harmony One remote. I suggest using an elastic band to hold the remote firm onto the charger. That works for me.

I can't turn the closed captioning off. I have went to device tv tried turning cc off. It won't turn off

If you are able to turn the closed captioning off with the original TV remote, then I suggest doing it that way. If you want that functionality on your Harmony One, you can use the original remote to teach the Harmony the closed captioning command. To learn commands, do the following:
1. Log in to the Harmony software. 2. On the "Devices" tab, click "Learn IR" next to the icon for your TV. 3. At the bottom of the screen where it says "MyNewCommand," enter the name that you want the command to have, and click "Learn." 4. Follow the on-screen instructions to learn the button. 5. Update your remote.

My LCD screen on my Logitech isn't working. It is black but blue when it sits in the cradle for charging.

Hi.
With Harmony remotes, when they get old, often the LCD screens fail. I had this happen to my Harmony 880, and updating the firmware solved it for a while, though the solution was not permanent. To update the firmware on your remote, log in to the Harmony software and click "Downloads" at the top of the screen. On the next page, click "Firmware" and follow the steps on the screen.
Hope that fixes it for you.

Blank screen but backlite is on

Had the same exact problem. Blue screen, no text, but remote worked ok - if you could figure out which buttons did what. Tried every solution posted online - battery pull for 10 sec, battery pull for 1 hr, and battery pull overnight. Tried updating software, firmware, but nothing worked. Found a replacement screen on ebay for $26 shipped, replaced it in less than 5 minutes, and works great.

LCD lites up, but Icons and words are gone, its blank.

Ah, sounds like the "blue screen of death". Very often, putting the remote in 'safe mode' and doing a firmware update will fix this problem. Here's how:

Launch the Logitech Remote software on your computer and click on "Downloads" (on the top menu bar). Then, take the battery out of your remote and at the same time you connect the USB cable to your remote (it should be already connected on the computer end) press and hold down the Off button at the top of the remote. This will put the remote in "safe mode". Continue to hold down the Off button until you see the message "safe mode requested" on the remote's screen and the screen starts blinking. Now, since your screen is not behaving properly, you may or may not see this message, but after about 5 seconds you can release the Off button. Now, go back to your computer and click on "Firmware". If the software is able to communicate with the remote, an update to the remote's firmware should be executed. This has solved many a 'blue screen of death' problem. Good luck!

You will need to completely exit out of the Harmony software and re-launch it. To do this:
1. Quit the Harmony software
2. For Windows base PC's, right click on the Harmony icon from the system tray and click on Exit
3. For Mac, quit the software by clicking on Logitech Harmony Remote Software menu at the top of the screen and then clicking on Quit 4. Logitech Harmony Remote Software
5. Open the Harmony Remote Software

You should now be able to login.

I have a HD DVR from Dish Network and I don't remeber what key to push to find my recored programs. I have a Harmony 900 remote.

You can find out what all of the buttons on your Harmony remote do by checking the button customization page in the Harmony software. To access this page, click "Customize Buttons" beside the icon for your Activity.

Hope that helps.

Harmony 890 remote has solid blue screen

Try putting the remote in 'safe mode' before doing the firmware update. I can't think of anything else you can try, but 'safe mode' --> Firmware update often does the trick.

Good luck!

Blank Blue Screen, but buttons still work

I had the same problem and when I took the remote apart the ribbon connecting the lcd screen to the remote controller board was sheared. The remote was dropped and the impact caused two of the traces on the ribbon to tear.

Customize LCD icons & tect

In the program menu on the computer that is used to sync the remote, go to the "Activities" section and select the button at the bottom for "New Activity". From their, program in your appropriate equipment to follow the activity that you intend to use in each respective activity. The icons unfortunately are pre-made, so you will be limited to what ever icons for activities Logitech has created with their latest software/firmware. After you have programmed in your new activities, perform an "Update Remote" and test it out.
