I have a reiker heat and cooling fan but it doesnt work
The fan and heat uint is remote based and cannot be controlled otherwise. The switch on the wall when turned in the on position just makes the fan click as if it is trying to turn on. The remote batteries are new and the fan worked fine recently with no problems. It is as if the reciever to the remote is trying to connect with no success. what can I do? can the receiver be replaced or what? any suggestions would be appreciated.

How to replace the battery in your Dyson Cool fan or Hot + Cool™ heater. This applies to remotes which include a base held in place with a screw.
If your remote control's signal range deteriorates, you made need to replace your remote's battery. Remove the screw from the base to release the battery. Please use battery type CR 2032.
Do not install backwards or short circuit the batteries. Do not attempt to dismantle or charge the batteries. Keep away from fire. Follow battery manufacturers' instructions when installing new batteries.
I'm betting the circuit board has gone defective. After shutting off power to unit, disassemble and have a look at it. Bad solder joints and discolored from heat areas may lead to a repair. Otherwise, this site has Hunter fan parts.
I'm pretty sure that home depot does sell remotes for that brand, although you may have to buy a new receiver to go with it. Otherwise try a lighting store near where you live. They seem to be able to order things like that.
in the remote and the fan the little blue box is called a dip switch
you will have to open fans base to access the remote power sender
on both the fan and remote the dip switches have to match in order for the remote to work the fan properly
or your signal will never make it to remote box
