Scanning I cannot find the disk to reinstall the scanning option. Can you help?

USB disk not found!/ USB drive write protected, when formatting USB drive

control panel admistrive tools,computer management,device manager scroll down universal serial bus controllers you should see a yellow question mark? right click to reinstall drivers or ports(com&lpt)right click update driver or scroll to disk drives if you can see your drive + to expand right click you should see options to update driver,disable,uninstall scan for hardware changes. or select properties you should see options in the general tab to troubleshoot,policies,volumes,driver and details under the driver tab you will have the options to check the driver details,update driver,rollback driver or uninstall

Using Canoscan Lide 70. When trying to scan receive message "not enough room on target disk" When I reinstall Toolbox it works (for a while, then same repeats).

When you scan a picture, you send it to a "Target" folder which you can set up in your scan options or settings.

At a guess your current destination or target folder is getting to large for the hard drive that its registered on

You've 2 options, clean out the target drive or use the scan options to send your pictures to a new destination with plenty of space.

Genx 4gb flash disk problem

the most defalt of option is reinstal the driver and check in the Device Manager the usb you  have 3 usb root hub,1 enhanced pci to usb controler,update and try again,it should work.

Have a recovery default disk and a recover application disk. I am getting an error message reading that the os may be corrupt or missing. windows/system32/config/system it says for me to insert the cd...

When you choose Repair option it would get you the repair mode. The disk is available to dos prompt or you can run any repair tools to correct the harddisk problems. But when you choose reinstall it would ask you the option to reinstall the operating system without formatting or with formatting. If you wanting to just reinstall the operating system to sure the missing or corrupted files be recopied choose the option from the reinstall menu without formatting. Let me know the solution helped. I could also help you out more or how to fix the harddisk if it wouldn't allow you reinstall without formatting!! I cant scan my pictures... i have lexmark x4530 and it says it needs to download the application list but dont know where to go from there... please help...

Right click and open the installation disk and look for 'applications\setup' and install it.
If you donot see the same, double click on the disk [left] select 'install\custom install' and select 'productivity studio' and install it, it should work.
The last option is to reinstall the whole drivers.

If possible, find the software disk that came with the printer, and reinstall. One of the options should be to scan from the scanner to the computer. Just make sure that option is selected on re-install, and that the necessary communication cables for that option are installed.

Scan does not go into picture programme, just get black picture, but preview shows scans as perfect, this only happens when scanning film

could be a software issue, uninstall and reinstall the scanner software.. the uninstall option should be available on the scanner software folder found in start>all programs..

reinstall the scanner software using the disk that came with it.
