Question about Bernina Bernette Deco 600

Breaking needles I am breaking needles in my Bernina Bernette Deco 600. When it works it's good but I have broke 4 needles and don't know why. I made sure they were in right and they'll sew for awhile and then just break. Any help would be great.

If you are using heavy glitter thread (metallics) in the designs, you will need to use a topstitching needle (16 or more - jeans weight).  The heavy threads don't work well in medium-weight thread needles (14ish).
This also may be a tension issue.  Have you taken it into the Bernina dealer for cleaning/servicing?  It has to be serviced regularly.  If you are sewing a lot on it, you'll need to take it in more than once a year.  Take it in and tell them that you are breaking needles.

It depends on how thick and strong your needle is- try getting a stronger or thicker needle and see if it works. Or it could just be the machine, something might be broken inside

Where do i foun the scarf and needle bar on bernette deco 600

The scarf is on the needle itself. It is an indentation on the back of the needle above the needle eye where the thread can sit as the needle penetrates the fabric. As the needle penetrates the fabric, the thread sinks into the indentation thereby resisting fraying or pulling on the thread.

The needle attaches to the bottom of the needle bar. The needle bar is the mechanism that moves up and down to drive the needle through the fabric.

When I turn on the machine I get a message that says Lower needle, raise pressure foot and power on machine. It is making a noise and the carrige wont move.

it's possible that breaking the needle could have done something to the computer or damaged a part of the machine, having the machine checked
would be a good idea

Need a manual for bernina bernette deco 600 and more information on the machine.

Yes, I need a manual for the Bernia Bernette Deco 600. Following the death of my daughter, My grand daughter said she did not want any of her mom's sewing equipment. I kept them for her and now she feels she would like to have the embroidery machine. However, we were unable to locate the manual for the deco 600. I am unable to locate one on line...only good reason...due to my inexperience at the computer I am unable to locate a manual for her. Any assistance you can give me will be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely Nana Helen

Not sure if you found anything out, but Deco 600 uses PES format only.
If you have the software (Deco Wizard) sometimes you can change it to PES and save the design.
Good luck

Bernina Bernette Deco 600 , we are breaking way to many needles. Sometimes it stiitches for 5 minutes or so nice and smooth then breaks a needle. other times we can do a complete pattern without breaking a...

Taking for granted the tensions are good it has to be the bobbincase or hook race. First of all know that when a needle hits the hook and breaks it leaves marks or burrs on the hook that thread can catch on and continue to cause more issues. Take the bobbincase out and run your fingernail across anywhere the thread passes over and feel for burrs. If you can't polish off the burr with very fine crocus paper (sandpaper) you may need to replace it.
Its also possible the bobbin hook race is loose or needs adjusting. There is a set screw on the left of the hookrace on a part that has a finger sticking out. Loosen that.
While the thread drawing lever (the bar that goes across and bracket ( the stopper part by the screw on the lower right)
remains parallel, adjust the bracket
horizontally so that the clearance is 0.5 mm.
Tighten the setscrew .
Hope this helps.

Bernina Bernette 600 Deco embroidery machine

It could be that there is a loose piece of thread, or some fluff which is obstructing the tension gauge. Try blowing around the theading area (or even run the hoover pipe near it to see if you can **** it out). I cleared mine by folding a piece of non fluffy material and rubbing gently between the tension dial and machine.

Good luck
