You may have to buy a new keyboard. They are not too hard to replace and should cost about $30.00 including shipping.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

My keyboard is not working and brand new. Won't connect to blue tooth and green power light does not stY on.

IT MAY BE A DEFECTIVE KEY BOARD IT HAPPENS NOW AND THEN. MAKE SURE THAT YOUR CONCECTION IS TIGHT. MAKE SURE THAT YOUR ELECTRICAL CORD IS TIGHT INTO THE ELECTRIC SOCKET. YOU COULD TRY CLEANING OFF THE KEY BOARD OR BLOWING IT OUT TO MAKE SURE NOTHING IS STOPPING THE KEYS FROM WORKING. MAKE SURE NO BARE WIRES. THERE COULD BE A VERY SMALL PIN HOLE IN THE ISULATION AROUND THE ELECTRICAL CORD.

How do i use my special features buttons, the ones in blue, do i use the FN button to access them? pls help, as i would like to use them when i type in portuguese.

The [FN] key is the function key for accessing special features that are pre programmed into the key board. I am not sure if they will assist you in typing portuguese as most deal with brightness, monitor selection, cd start and stop and such, at least on my key board they do. Typically the functions they provide are indicated by symbols that are boxed or circled on the normal keys.

Replace the keyboard. Type your laptop model number in ebay and Im sure you can find one for very cheap. Replacement is easy is well, 5 screws the most. Worst case, once you get the keyboard from ebay, take it to nearest pc tech to install it for you for not more than 20 bucks..

Key board problem

That is the 'FN' or 'fn' function that is sticking. Check the keyboard for debris. Carefully left the key marked 'fn' with a toothpick and make sure you don't have something stuck under it or use compressed air to blow the keyboard out.

Sounds like your keyboard is set to US/English you should be able to make the change in Control Panel, on a US/English keyboard, if you press the number 2 and the shift, you are supposed to get the @ symbol.

Saitek Eclipse Keyboard Keys stopped working

this could very well be your OS as much as your keyboard. Try another board for a few days and see if it still happens. IF not...you found your culprit. Replace the keyboard or look for updated drivers if they exist.

Key board problems

It sounds like your having a system board problem, you will need to take the machine into a repair shop to have it looked at and make sure that it's still plugged into the system board correct.

You can also try hooking up an external keyboard to the laptop in the meantime.

The "Ctrl" stop working

When one key stops working in a Keyboard there is dirt or some other obstruction between the contact layers and the board needs to be dismantled and cleaned or the contact layer has been broken and the keyboard will not respond to that key any more. The first is more likely unless the board has been really abused.

Dell laptop c600 key board

Buzzy, Yes you can connect an external keyboard to your PC. Some newer ones no longer have the round, PS2 connector so in that case you?ll need to use a USB keyboard. Please note that if you go the USB route you should start your PC and log in first, and then connect the keyboard. Windows will then load the drivers and you should be good to go. Let us know how it goes and please don?t forget to rate this post.
