How much is a 1998 26 inch Sharp tv worth?

Unless you can do it yourself taking a TV to a service shop may cost more than its worth to have backlights replaced...Ive never had one cost 300 but its typical to spend $150 if its a larger set, I charge $2 an inch for the labor plus the cost of parts.
