I purchased my Baby Lock Ellure in June 08. The automatic treader hook stopped working and a new part (XD1550151) was shipped to Granny's Sewing Den in Glenside PA. 19038.
Can you email me instructions on how to replace the treader hood Bldc Decorations? The part did not have any instructions in the box. Will it still be under warranty if I replace the part, or does Granny's need to replace the part?
PS This machine is absolutely the most wonderful tool I have ever used. I wish I had bought it years ago. I sew every day. For the price, this was the best buy of my life! I have 5 other sewing machines, which I will give away. Thank you for such a fabulous machine.
Have you thought of an upgrade to tell you if the needle is not inserted properly?

Re: Authomatic treader part ellure
If its under warranty.... take back to Granny's Baby locks are Wonderful!!! but the dealers are picky about whom repairs them, let the experts fix your baby.(after all you'd take your Porche in for service under warranty wouldn't you?)

Mine does that too. You disconnet the foot pedal (the smaller cord), then push the bobbin to the left, then hit the start/stop button where all the other buttons are. You may have to tap it lightly towards the right side of the machine to get it to "catch".
I'm not sure which thread you are referring to, its either the bobbin thread (under) or the needle thread (above.top) I'm sure you can find some helpful advise here on the baby lock site http://www.babylock.com/support/faq/?FAQ=10
Have you looked at
your manual or bought the more expensive machine book from your dealer? I wasn't happy at the addtional cost at the time (I spent $2200 US that day) BUT I have
found my book for my Evolve a VERY good investment (70 bucks, but worth
every penny these past 2 years!) You may find the same for your Ellure.
Baby Lock have very good cust.
service either on the web or right at your dealer. Most dealers will
give free lessons upon your request. I hope this helped, PS I'm a bit jealous.... I REALLY wanted that machine too! Happy Sewing and Good luck with your baby!
I HAVE HAD THIS HAPPEN SEVERAL TIMES AND WHEN I WOULD CHECK THREAD IT WOULD BE OK, MOST OF THE TIME HOWEVER, IF I COMPLETELY UNTHREAD IT AND RETHREAD IT THE PROBLEM IS SOLVED. I HATE IT WHEN THEY DO THIS MUST BE A PROBLEM WITH ALL OF THEM
