iphone 4s (as with any other iphone models) don't have an expandable memory therefore iphones dont have a SD card slot.
The only thing that is removable is the sim card. if that is the case there should be a sim ejector that can be found inside the iphone box with the manual. insert the sim ejector tool (or a pin) into the sim card slot located on the right hand side of the device (i.e. opposite side to the volume and mute buttons) once you do that the sim should come out on a sim tray.
hope it helped :)
Turn off your iPhone 3G and make sure any cords or connector cables are removed from the device. Then, hold your iPhone 3G upright.
Locate the Sleep/Wake button and headphone jack on the very top of the iPhone. Between these two components you will see a very small hole.
Insert the tip of a paper clip into the hole to release the iPhone's SIM card tray. The small tray will pop up relatively quickly from the top of the iPhone. If there is already a SIM card in the tray, use your fingers to remove it.
Insert the SIM card you want to install into the phone facedown in the tray. Make sure the side without the reflecting panel is inserted first.
Press the SIM card tray gently back into the slot until you hear it "click" into place. Now turn your iPhone on. All of the information on the card will now be in your iPhone 3G.
You can not open the iphone to insert a SIM card. There is a slot at the bottom of the iPhone and the SIM card goes in there. When you purchased the phone you should also have recieved a special gadget that you actually push into the bottom of the phone so that you can remove the Sim card. That is the only way to access the SIM card on the iPhone... The actual phone can not be opened..
SIM card slot is in top of iPhone. From iPhone Manual:
If your SIM card was not preinstalled, you must install the SIM card before you can use iPhone.
Install the SIM card: 1 Insert the end of the SIM eject tool into the hole on the SIM tray. Press firmly and push it straight in until the tray pops out. If you don’t have a SIM eject tool, you can use the end of a paper clip.
2 Pull out the SIM tray and place the SIM card in the tray. The angled corner of the SIM ensures that the card fits only the correct way in the tray.
3 With the tray aligned as shown, carefully replace the SIM tray containing the SIM card in iPhone.
The SIM card in the iPhone is removable, but it's hidden. To remove the SIM card, you need a paper clip.
We are checking to see if this voids your iPhone warranty. If you are concerned that it might, please don't perform this task.
The iPhone's SIM card is located behind this door. 1. Locate the SIM Card Slot
The slot is located at the top of the iPhone, between the headphone jack and the power button. The paper clip is a valuable tech tool. 2. Open the Slot
Take your paper clip and insert it into the little hole. Then firmly push down until the slot pops up. 3. Remove the SIM Card
The SIM card is in a cradle. You can pop the card out of the cradle.
To replace the SIM card, put the card back in the cradle. The cradle
and card are notched in a way that forces you to replace the card on
the proper side. Then just slide the card back into the iPhone.
