Bf72 not doing the wash cycle correctly

If you are using hot water connection then check the temperature of incoming water is hot enough. If cold water inlet only is used then most likely the heater element or thermostat in the dishwasher is faulty and the water is not heating enough.

Plumber has connected hot water supply to dish washer can that be a problem

Hi,

For most dishwashers the hot water is the connection you want to have for the supply to the dishwasher...

I believe that it is also correct for this model also...

The dishwasher heating element will keep the water hot but is not powerfull enough to heat cold water effectively...

You will be just fine...

Is the feed pipe a hot or cold feed?

Connect the dishwasher to the HOT water side. Although most dishwashers have a heating element to heat the water, they are normally installed this way to reduce the amount of time the heating element is on. This not only extends the life of the heating element, but also reduces the amount of electricity required to heat the water. Another helpful hint: Before you run the dishwasher, run the hot water tap until the water runs hot. This will fill the dishwasher with water that is already hot instead of the cold water that normally sits in the line after the hot water has not been run for a while. If you have questions, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

Hotpoint aquarius dwf30 dishwasher

you can plumb into hot but there are some snags
first hot water pressure is often a lot lower than cold so the machine may take a long time to fill
second if the water is too hot it will destroy the resin of the water softener and you will see brown marks on the crockery.
third it a bit uneconomical as you will use a lot of hot water
