Ive bought a standard cd player to replace my cassette player. the cd player is connected but asks for an unlock code

Did you buy a stock cd player from another vehicle? If so, you may be screwed. You usually have to have the vin number of the original vehicle to obtain the code from the dealer. This insures that the radio isn't stolen. If you purchased an aftermarket radio, there shouldn't be a code. If you did buy an aftermarket cd player and it requires a code, what brand? Let me know and I will see if I can help.

Cannot locate user manual. Car is a 2001 Lancer GLi and is requesting 4 digit code for clarion cd/radio player.

If the radio is stock you will need to call the mitsubishi dealer to get the code it is an antitheft device that renders the radio useless if power is lost, such as removing the radio.

Cd swap out for aftermarket cd player

Your best bet would be to go to autozone or advanced auto and get the haynes manual for your car. It can tell you what to do with pictures.

How do I wire my tape and cd player to same speakers?

There are really only 2 options.

#1 Buy a fm modulated CD changer. This will allow you to play CD's over a FM frequency, and will use your factory radio as the output.

#2 Again you can buy a stand alone FM modulator with RCA inputs, and use an aftermarket CD/DVD player as a source.

Ford KA Right speaker broken

Hello jump_in_the_, You need to determine if the problem is in the speaker, the wiring or the CD player. It appears that you have already eliminated the CD player, so it must be the wiring or the speaker itself. Connect a known good speaker and see if it works. If it does, then the speaker is bad and needs replacement. If it doesn't, then the wiring is faulty. In that case, run a new wire directly from the CD player plug harness. Hope this helps.
