Upgrade proccessor

Dear Justin,

The Latitude E5410 service manual shows that the following processors can be used: Intel Core i3, i5 and i7 series, as well as Intel Celeron and it is also shown in the manual that the processor can be removed (it is not soldered directly to the motherboard) . And a review of this laptop by "Notebook Review" indicates that "The Latitude E5410 offers a wide range of processor options, spanning from the Core i3 370M to the Core i7 620M."

Although I do not know which processor you presently have in your laptop, I would say that it can be upgradeable from a Core i3, or Core i5 to a Core i7 620M processor.

Hope this helps!

you would have to check on the acer website and also you would have to get a manual which shows you how to take your laptop apart and change the cpu unless you can get to the cpu from the base of the laptop

Need to know the bios version normally you set the clock speed in bios so go into bios and see if it lists cpu clock speed and change it manually. However if you have american mega-trends or ami bios it makes of difference so post back if that does not help you.

What processor is better than 3.46 d celeron processor, for upgrade?

The fact about processors is that generally u will end up with changing the entire chipset because the new processors generally dont fit with old chipsets. If you are ready to shell out some extra money, you can choose the latest range of "Intel Core2 Duo" series or even go to the Quadcores.Post your budget and i will suggest a suitable one.

Which should I upgrade?

Upgrade the RAM much easier to do than the CPU.

CPU requires you to find a processor that will work for your laptop motherboard then you gotta open it up and remove the CPU.... TOO MUCH WORK! unless you're very comfortable in doing this.

I would recommend go to 512MB to 1G of instead 256MB.
