PDA sound doesn't work anymore after loading tomtom 6

I have loaded the tomtom 6 software onto my device. As soon as I did this the sound no longer works. I found the sound level reduced to zero on the today page, so I increased it. But, when I check the sound level again it has returned to zero. I tried again to no avail. The only way to recover the sound is to do a hard reset. Further more when I start a program, more often than not I get a message saying 'Error 0x37 opening WAV driver'. Any ideas guys and gals? Cheers, Giles

Sound Problem on ASUS A636N

The problem is related to TomTom software. There are two methods to solve this problem.
(1) You can choose to install TomTom 6.1 which has solved the sound problem if TomTom V6.1 is available for end user.
(2) Find “BtCoreIf.dll”in Windows directory and rename it to "BtCoreIf.old”. Then, reset the device to solve the sound problem.

Tomtom go 910

I have seen the green screen problem a few times before and this was caused by corrupted data / software or an error in booting up.
If you can't turn any TomTom off then perform a reset by inserting a paper clip into the rest hole and give 1 short press of the reset button ( it's a tactile switch so you should feel it click ) then try switching the TomTom on again the normal way. ( reset buttons are normally found through a small hole underneath the TomTom ).
If the TomTom does switch on but continues as before with the loading up problem , then it's best to format and reload all files from your backup copy.
A RED CROSS indicated a loading fault / corrupted files / incomplete files / corrupted or damaged media . ( media , meaning SD card or hard-drive )

HW6515d Ipaq Sound with TomTom Sat NAv

The ipaq 6515 has a microswitch that will turn off the pda if the battery cover is removed. When you remove the cover and try to turn it on even with the external power supply plugged in, the red led will light up.

I had the same issues as mentioned installing TomTom Navigator version 7 onto a HP IPAQ 2415 running Windows Mobile 5. As soon as TomTom was installed the sound stopped working.

I did a Hard Reset to restore the IPAQ which got the sound back. I then downloaded the trial version of WinCE Cab Manager and used this to remove the files Btcoreif.dll and Btsdkce30.dll from the TomTom installation CAB. I saved the cab and then ran this again and it installed perfectly and I still had sound. Hope this offers a solution for anyone still having a problem.

TomTom navigator 5

In my opinion you can just believe what the software or hardware producer said. If they can ensure the customers that it will work with PDA than you must believe in this statement. As far as I know PDA producer support just stuff delivered with PDA. There is no support for additional software or hardware.
