Pioneer KEH-P4830R connection to AUX source

I have elderly Honda Accord (2000) fitted with one of the above radio/cassette players. According to the instruction book that came with the car it can connect to an AUX source, but gives no details of how to connect the AUX source to the unit.

I got for Xmas an Creative ZEN iPod device i would like to play through the car radio. I (could) use one of those dummy tape type devices, but it would be much better if i could use the AUX input - whereever it may be. But how/where to i connect it?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Many thanks, Andy

To use the AUX function on the Pioneer KEH-P4830R, you first have to enable the AUX function.
Turn the unit off (by pressing down source I think). Then once the unit is turned off. Hold down the 'source' button until a new display comes up, then cycle through to you to to the AUX function, and select ON. Finish by holding down the 'source' button again. Now turn the unit back on by tapping 'source' button, and you will now have the option to choose radio, tape or AUX from the source menu

Hi. Sorry, I can't actually solve this one for you but was hoping you may be able to look in the manual and let me know which model number CD changers are compatible with this headunit. We don't have the manual and so far have been unable to find the answer anywhere so your help would be much appreciated.

Thanks
Lee

How and where to connect an AUX source (e.g. MP3 player)?

Cassete players do not have Aux Inputs.
You will need to use an FM Modulator type Aux device that will broadcast to a radio station preset on your radio.

Aux

if it has aux its probably going to be right on the front, its most likely mini-din, the same connector used for headphones and pc speakers, youll need a mini-din to mini-din cable, also known as an audio cable, you can get the mcheap at radio shack usualy, its a cable that allows a pc subwoofer to be hooked up to the pc's audio card, with this just turn you ipod on and control it as normal while the deck is set to aux and you should hear your ipod. some decks have actual ipod connectors that work differntly but I personaly don't know much about them, I have the mini-din connector, and an ipod shuffle
