LE codes are extensively covered in past Fix-Ya solutions, but are generally caused by only a handful of things. 1. the " Load Error " can be a very off balanced load. 2. excessive use of soap leads to too much suds, and thus drag on the inner tub. (use 1 tablespoon of HE soap max. per load) or 3. the Hall sensor (part number 6501KW2001A) has failed. The hall sensor is rather easy to replace, and is covered by a seven year part warranty. Take the back cover off. Take the big nut off and remove the motor rotor. Remove the bolts holding the motor windings. Remove the electric plug on the sensor and unclip it from the motor winding. Snap new sensor on and reassemble. Usually takes under a half hour. On a difficulty scale of 1 - 10, it might rate a 4. This should be a Fix-Ya for your machine, and at basically no cost!

It appears that one or more safety limits have failed. You will need an OHM meter to determine which one has failed.

My dryer always burns my clothes. is there a way to stop this from happening. my dryer is 3 years old. what causes this. and clothes always get stuck in the front of the dryer, why?

Are you saying that it is "literally" "burning" the clothes or it just smells like that are brunt? Regardless, if it is doind either, it sounds like there is a problem with the thermostate on the unit. If the unit is only three years old, it is highly unlikely that the unit has the wrong heating element installed within it as this is the only other issue that causes such a problem. If you have the manual for your unit, you can easily find where your thermostate and heating element are located and you can check both...if you are somewhat handy. You can also replace both or either as well as opposed to calling a service person. If all else fails, take the unit to a service person or have them come to you. However, if you are going to attempt repairs, make sure that the unit is UNPLUGGED prior to attempting to work on your unit. SAFETY FIRST! Good luck.

Hello,Sounds like a mechanical obstruction somewhere :->. Possible bad rollers or idler pulley. This could have snapped belt. Need to removed front door panel and lid to get at it. Open the door and rotate the inside drum by hand and see if it moves freely. If it does, you may rollers are probably good. Turn on power and listen for the motor turning on. If you hear a low hum then possible idler pulley or belt issue.LE error on DW - no quick fix here. I heard of wiring issues on the LG's, broken wires, that go from the control panel down to the motor/sensors/etc that result in this error code. I'm not up to speed on the LG dishwashers yet so maybe someone else can contribute.Rich

Maytag dryer just stopped working. there is no light on inside.

I am not a repair professional. I am a 78 year old man who has been making his own repairs for about 50 years. So the machine ID doesn't mean much to me. I came to fixya looking for a schematic for an really old AM/FM radio and just happened to see that more than 4,700 people were asking for help with a washer repair. I recently had a washer repair of my own and at that time I found an excellent video on youtube which showed me how to take my machine apart. This video (direct drive washer repair) made it possible for me to do my own repair. You probably don't have any idea of the wonderful help you can get from youtube videos. Your first stop should be at youtube. Just search for the help you need. You could search for "clothes dryer repair" or "clothes washer repair" or "dishwasher repair". If you are not able to view and/or download the videos, or after you've seen all you want to see, I suggest you go directly to where they have very good step by step trouble shooting and repair information on washers, dryers. and dishwashers as well as other appliances. Another excellent site is If you have a direct drive top load washer and need help taking it apart these youtube videos are wonderful help. I was so impressed with them that when I saw all these people needing help, I wanted to tell them about the videos. If you look at the back of your top load washer and the panel is solid (no small inspection plate to remove, which would indicate you have a v-belt drive) chances are you have a direct drive and this video (direct drive washer repair) is just what you need. After you've seen all the appropiate videos, or if you have a belt drive washer, you will probably still need help in determining what the trouble is and how to fix it. I suggest you go to where they have very good trouble shooting and repair nformation on most washers and dryers, dishwashers and many other household appliances. I think you'll find what you need there. Another excellent site for DIY help is Don't worry about the timer on a washer, they hardly ever go bad. I realize I haven't solved your problem for you, but I hope I have sent you where you can get help to solve the problem. Good luck with it.

F70 and F71 code on Kenmore Elite

The F70 and F71 error codes on this model of washer indicates a communication problem between the user interface control board and the central control unit (main control board). These error codes can sometimes be caused by a power surge or glitch through the electrical lines. Try unplugging the washer to completely disconnect electrical power. Wait 1 minute and then plug the washer back in to the see if the fault code clears. If it does, then the washer may work normally.

If the code reappears, then you could have a wire harness connection problem, a failed user interface control board or a failed central control unit. I recommend calling a service technician to properly diagnose and repair this type of problem so that the correct component can be replaced.

Be sure your unit is plugged into a 3 prong grounded outlet as well.

F71 is a "heatbeat failure" which means that your front interface control board is shorted and will need to be replaced. it's actually fairly easy to replace and can definitely be done by yourself. To access the part, just pull the unit forward and remove the 3 screws coming in from the back of the top panel. Remove the top panel by pulling it back, up, and off. Then remove all the screws going into the top of the control panel. Remove the dispenser drawer and remove the screws coming in through the dispenser. Remove the screws coming from the inside of the dryer going forward into the control panel, then remove the control panel (it's just clipped in on the bottom. After that you can disconnect the wire harnesses to the front interface control board and replace that part.
