Power switch for whirlpool tub

Is is possible to replace the old power switch/timer on our whirlpool tub with one that has a remote control? Our tub is 21 years old and the switch is on the wall across the room. If so, where would you buy it?

I have a Kohler vintage 1985with the same problem. After much reasearch I came up dry and built an override which allows me to turn on the tub when the water level is correct and keeps it on until switched off or the water level drops.

The easiest thing (maybe) is to install an air switch kit on the side of your tub. Here is a link to the part. Basically you install an air button on the side of the tub, install the air tubing from the nipple on the underside of the air button to the nipple on the box that plugs into an outlet under the tub. The pump plugs into that same box and the air tubing from the air button pushing onto the nipple on the box. When you push the button on the tub it will turn the pump on/off. Air Switch Kit

Yes because its electrical and live .. doh the air switch is similar to the button some depress to start their garbage disposal the only thing that your hand touches is a button that's not live it moves air thru a tube that actually flips the switch on so to speak cannot get shocked meets electrical code and you don't get out of whirlpool top to restart another session dee dah

SOURCE: I have a 21 year

The switch is located there to comply with the electrical code. I recommend that you leave it as is.

I have a 10 year kidde smoke detector i just bought 2 years ago. I cannot replace battery. It was supose to be good for 10 years. Phone number to talkto someone please thanks

Type "Kidde" into your search engine and see if you can find the factory or an authorized dealer.
Ask them the question.
Highly probable the unit is actually nearly 10 years old, as they are not selling well any more.
God bless your efforts.

All the water in the tub is not draining out, I have opened the drain plug and yet no luck.

What tub? If you mean bathtub then the drains plugged, probably with hair if someone has long hair in the family it will plug them up occasionally along with soap scum

Video on calking tub to floor

I would suggest using 'relief cuts' in the strip so you can make the bend, and then continue -- though using a caulk gun would be better. With standard caulk you can just use your finger and a little water to leave a nice finish. I believe you will find it cheaper as well -- a tube of caulk is around 2 or 3 dollars -- and a caulk gun is a dollar or so.

MY JETS WONT TURN ON

The threaded knob should not be related to the problem, it just controls how much air gets mixed into the water jets. One possibility is that the electricity is off. These tubs should receive power through a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) type of circuit breaker for your protection from electrical shock. Check your circuit breaker panel(s) for a breaker with a little square white or yellow "test" button. Refer to the label (if it is there) to see if it refers to "tub" or "spa" or "bath" or something like that. You may have to turn the breaker handle off (push extra hard to make it reset) and then back on again. If the breaker handle is in the "on" position and the "test" button does not "trip it off," call an electrician. If no luck there, check the bathroom for an electrical outlet with GFCI protection, again looking for white or yellow (or red) buttons - one should be engraved "test" and the other "reset" as the electrician (I hope it was an electrician) may have supplied the tub from this outlet (not actually up to code). Plug an appliance or light into the outlet. If it doesn't work, push the reset button on the outlet and test again. If working, now test the spa. If that doesn't work, test every other GFCI outlet you can find - in the kitchen, other baths, garage, outdoors, basement, etc. using the same testing procedure. If you find a GFCI breaker or outlet "tripped" that restores the tub, that indicates there is something wrong with your electrical system that could cause you to get electrocuted, and requires that you hire a qualified electrician to investigate the problem. The same is true for any GFCI outlet that does not "trip" and/or "reset." If this doesn't fix the tub, the problem may not be electrical but some other problem with the system, indicating a plumber or spa tech may need to be consulted. Note: these GFCI breakers and outlets are supposed to be tested and reset once every month. How many of us do that? Well, at least as often as we test our smoke detectors, I suppose.

Wont go off

-You're talking about water not car right...?
-Shut off main water line and remove the on/off valve, if lose or broken
screw that hold the washer or broken washer. Possibly fixable or just replace new one.
Then turn the main water back on again. You should be good to go.

Power outage how do i reset a moen digital thermostatic shower valve

If you're talking about the ioDigital Vertical Spa controller, mine never comes back up after a power failure (status LED off) until after I've unplugged and re-plugged the DATA cable. To do this you have to take the cover off the controller in the wall cavity by removing the four phillips #2 screws to expose the DATA connector inside. Then it's just like unplugging and replugging a telephone or ethernet cable.
