The reason is that the camera dropped to the floor and has incurred internal damage that will require repairs that will probably cost more than a good replacement camera.

Camera wont turn on.

Hi there do not worry . It can be fixed. After fall down on the floor the lens guide pin is damaged or the power supply connection disconnect from the inside. That's why its not recognized the power supply. In both case the solution is visit service center they will fix it for you. Maximum charged is 40 - 70 USD. Thanks & waiting for your feedback.

Dropped SD750 on floor, now won't turn on

That's a hard one to analyze through email. A camera tech would have to use test equipment on it to see if the power section got shorted when the door opened when it hit the floor. It may not be a cheap or easy fix, but only a tech can tell. I have heard of cameras getting damaged, just from putting batteries in backwards, so a short circuit might have damaged a chip inside. Of course a warranty does not cover dropped cameras, but you might want to have them look at it and tell you what it will cost.

Camera fell on floor, now pictures out of focus

Hello,

That's because the internal focus servomotors are out of place and can't turn the focus ring. I'm sorry but these components are located inside the lens assembly and this is not by any means an user serviceable part. It's composed of tiny servomotors, small coils and plastic parts that can get out of possition or decalibrated if the lens assembly gets opened.

A thing to try would be to hold the camera with it's lens barrel opened in one hand and hit it (gently yet still firmly) against the other hand. There are some small chances that this will bring the internal focus ring to it's former alligment. Other then this, only a service center can fix the camera, but it could turn out to be an expensive repair.

I'm sorry for having to bring the bad news.

My lens is stuck half way out.

try Googling "E18" and read about this error signal and the many possible fixes. In your case sometimes gentle (really gentle) inward pressure on the lens tube while turning camera on (or off) will get it going again. Best wishes
