Scene edit on dvr

I can do a scene edit on the dvr and it appears to be OK. However, when I go do dub onto a DVD, both the scene edit and the title do not transfer. What I get going onto the DVD is exactly what was originally recorded on the DVR. When I open up the "top menu" and play what I want there, it appears that all is well and the edit took, However, again, that is not the case when I go to the list of items to be dubbed and to the dubbing.
