Frigidaire FRS26ZSH Professional Series Stainless Steel Side by Side Refrigerator/Freezer. Ice and water buttons do not work. The filter has been changed and it still makes ice but the buttons and dispenser will not operate. Is there a manual reset or fuse that must be set or replaced?

Re: Ice and Water dispenser
No manulal reset or fuse, buth tere is ususlly a "child lockout" feature prevent ing the dispensor from operating. check to see if the control has been placed, on, or perhaps the door is not closing fully, another reasom for the dispensor to stop

Tubing in back of refrigerator leading to the ice tray is jammed with solid ice and whence maker timer calls for water back pressure prevents water from reaching the ice maker tray. Remove the tubing from the back and pull out the plastic tube that feeds the ice maker tray. Put the tube in hot water to melt the the and blow through it to make sure itis clear. When reinserting the plastic tube stick your head inside the freezer door and be sure the end of the tube overlaps the tray. The problem will be solved but the same thing will happen at some later date. I believe I solved this problem too. I got a roll of surgical adhesive bandage that's about a sixteenth inch thick and insulated the tube to prevent it from freezing again. It's been two months since and thank God it worked. The Frigidaire engineers could use this one.
I think you will need to unplug the pin plug under the cover at top or bottom hinge. Check the voltage and if OK leave unplugged until you can remove the dispenser and I will try to help you from the power source. Sounds like a short in the board and related to the light socket. The fuse only stopped the short from doing further damage, You may need to locate the short before replacing the fuse or board. I have looked over the wiring diagram. If you find the short without my help just be sure to replace the fuse with the correct size. The only things are the chute heater or something in that area of the board went to ground. Do you have a voltage meter? Contact me later when ready, Sea Breeze
Drain line in the freezer section is clogged, needs cleaning. There is a small drain pan on the bottom of the rear wall in the freezer. It is covered with ice. Defrost or remove ice, and get to the drain hole. try flushing with hot water, if does not help - clean mechanically on both sides of the drain line - in the freezer and in the back of the fridge, where it comes to the drain pan near condenser/compressor.
Mor than likely you have a clogged defrost drain. Drain is located at the bottom of freezer compartment behind the back panel. You will have to remove the panel and blow out (or vacuum) the drain hole. Hope this helps
