It's located where the paper comes out above the toner door. It's on the top side on the left. Put your hand inside where the paper exits on the left side and it's above your hand.
You can contact a Xerox service center and see if they can provide the default password. In most of the WorkCenter MFP's the previous owner would seldom change the default. But if they did, the Xerox service tech can probably tell you how to reset it once you provide the serial number and proof of ownership.

They have a chip in them and can't be fooled so to speak by topping them up.
You can get toner and chips off ebay if you do a search for your model...

Verify you are use OEM Xerox Toner. If so, try reboot the unit, take out and reseat the toner. If that doesn't fix it you'll have a bad main board and will need to be replaced.
