I have a similar problem. My monitor switch is "stuck" in the on position. I suppose that's better than being stuck in the off position. I'll just have to unplug the monitor at night I think.

Put a power strip or new switch in the electric line to the monitor and use that switch, or buy a new switch from  radio shack and install it, if you are good at repairing electricial things. .

The humidifier may have raised the humidity level enough to liquify the accumulated grime and cemented the buttons in place.

My monitor is stuck on a webpage!! The mouse won't move,I turn it off and back on and it is still on the same website?

It's not the monitor that's stuck - it's the PC. Press and hold the power button of your computer for about 10 seconds - this should force the computer to turn off immediately.

When you turn it back on, it will tell you there has been a problem, you can normally skip any errors that come up, and choose "Start Windows Normally". and it will return as normal.

I am unable to turn the screen off and the Menu button, actually, none of the buttons on the screen works. It constantly shows the Volume in the centre of the screen and I cannot remove it. Please help! ...

If none of the button are working then it could mean that one of the buttons is stuck or there is an issue with the board on the monitor itself.

Unplug the monitor from power and the computer. Make sure none of the buttons are stuck down, plug only power back in to the monitor and see what it shows. Plug it back into the computer and check to see if the problem returns

I unplugged my computer and turned off the monitor to save power since we were not using. Now with the computer plugged in, when I turn monitor on the green light just blinks.

Make sure the data plug is in correctly. Turn the computer on. No you can try using the power button on the monitor to power it off and on. Or you may need to pull the power for the monitor out of the plug and then put it back in.

The blinking light means the monitor is in sleep mode. They need activity on the data or signal cable before they wake up. Unfortunately sometimes they get stuck and you have to reboot them to wake them up. I have seen a few where they had failed and would not come out of sleep mode but that is pretty rare. Usually you just have to sweet talk it and threaten it a bit and pull it plug a few times and all of a sudden it will start up,

Dell Monitor is stuck in power save mode. tried

Hmmm...Stuck in power save. I guess when you push the power button, the monitor says power save, then blanks to power save, no matter if the Computer is on or not.
This means the monitor does not see any signal from the computer. I would suspect the computer first. Try a different monitor (borrow one).
If the size of the monitor picture is too high and the monitor is an older LCD, you may have set the image size too high (1280x1024 will not work with this monitor and it will do this very thing).
A broken or damaged connector cable to the monitor can also cause this. Was the monitor unplugged from the computer just before this problem?

Monitor turn on button is stuck

The monitor screen is black can be caused by bad caps in the power supply, bad inverter circuits, or worst will be bad lamps, you need to open it up and look at the power supply for bad caps first, look for caps with bulging top or bottom seal and then report back so we can guide you further, see example of failed VIEWSONIC monitors due to bad caps: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums

My Gateway 500s monitor is stuck in power save mode

Try tapping the F8 key while booting the computer, you will get the start up menu, choose safe mode, when you log on, go to the display settings, that is right click on the desktop, properties, screen saver, advanced and make sure that hibernation is off, along with turn off disks or whatever , probably see turn off monitor after XX minutes, I make ours 15 minutes (150 computers and servers), I don't let the disks turn off. Choose always on also, not home/office. Try this and see if these settings help.
