MY stop/clear button doesn't stop all the time.

It may be making noise, and the light comes on, and the turntable goes around, but I'll bet it's not actually cooking (although that CAN happen). Try putting a cup of water in the microwave when this happens and see if it gets warm. If it does NOT get warm, then you just have a bad door switch. If it DOES get warm, then you have a stuck relay on the control board, and the control board will have to be replaced.

Can you soak heating element on a butterball electric turkey fryer?

Most heating elements are indeed submerged in oil and for that reason I would not think it would affect your unit, however I do not normally work on home model products. I am a commercial restaurant equipment dealer, working on commercial products only. Trying it out would tell with within a few minutes whether it's going to work or not? Any other questions, I would find the 800 number or website for that company and ask them directly. Sorry I couldn't be more help to you, but I just don't know that much about home model stuff.

I need the user instructions for use

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly
I see I am nearly a month late in replying to your post. I just answered another post and when I finished I saw your question.
This is driectly from the user's manual that you can find here with some difficulty:
http://safemanuals.com/314159.php?k=84c8d7db0922eceeab89e8e236b92e45&ID=2854106&q=CROCK%20POT%20SMART%20POT
(Avoid answering questions by looking for the blue text that says "security code" and clicking that) Then enter the 4 digit code to download the manual that is 209k)

1. Place food in stoneware according to recipe.

2. Plug in Smart-Pot slow cooker. The Power light will begin to flash indicating that the unit is plugged in, but not turned on.

3. Push the Cook Time button to scroll through the timed cooking options. Push once and the 4 hour light will illuminate, twice and the 6 hour light will come on, etc. Select the time based on the length of time indicated in the recipe. Two time options are usually given. The 4 and 6 hour settings are the HIGH temperature setting and may be used when you want your food done quicker. The 8 and 10 hour settings correspond to the LOW temperature setting and is used for all day cooking. In addition your Smart-Pot can be set to the Warm Setting by scrolling through the timed cooking options until the warm

light illuminates.

NOTE: The Warm setting is for keeping already hot food warm. Do not use the warm setting to cook or reheat food.

4. When the cooking time is completed, the Smart-Pot slow cooker will automatically shift to the Warm setting and the Warm light will come on. NOTE: We do not recommend using the Warm setting for more than 4 hours.

5. To turn the Smart-Pot off push the OFF button. Unplug unit from the wall outlet.

6. For other recipes that give a range of times, select the time closest to the setting on your Smart-Pot. For instance a recipe calling for cooking time of 7 to 9 hours on LOW, set your Smart-Pot to 8 hours.

NOTE: If power goes off then power light will blink and settings must be reset. If cook time is changed before the cycle is complete the time will reset to the new setting.

That is pretty much the entire user instructions. Everything else is warnings, cautions, and oh yes; don't submerge it in water yadda yadda....

Thanks for choosing FixYa,

Kelly

Purchased Durabrand Rice Cooker model HRC 18G working fine Is there a User manual for this cooker? All that is needed is ratio of water to rice including plain long grain and Basmati rice for 1 - 4...

Instructions quoted from the Durabrand Rice Cooker model HRC 18G manual...... 1 cup of uncooked rice rice will make about 2 cups of cooked rice. Add rice to the inner pot. Maximum four cups uncooked rice for the model. Many varieties of rice can be used including basmati, wild rice, arborio risotto, saffron rice and long grain rice. Whole grains, such as barley can also be prepared with the rice cooker, follow instructions on the package.

For every cup (160ml) of raw rice, add 1-1/2cups of water. For stickier rice add slightly more water, for fluffier rice use slightly less water.

When your rice is cooked, the cooker will automatically switch to the warm function and the yellow warm light will turn on. The cooker will stay in the warm function untill is disconnected from the wall outlet. The cooker will keep the rice warm 158F - 212F

Hope this helps, its quoted right out of the manual I have for my cooker
