Question about APW Wyott AT-Express Conveyor Toaster

Have a apw wyott conveyor toaster, conveyor randomly stops

Wish i could say when the problem happens but its very random. it suddenly stops moving. i have shut it down for a min or two then turn it on and adjust the speed to be higher and it will suddenly start moving again. its been down now for almost an hour and thats the first time its been so long.

I had a similar problem I changed the Rear Bearings in the belt & Check the Fan motor in the rear which houses the conveyer Motor wheather it is working or not it could be the fan not working and over heating the motor the last thing is the screws that hold the conveyer motor are too tight as the motor is self adjusting.

Apw keeps blowing circuit


It may be time for a new toaster, this one could be dangerous. It appers to be drawing lots of current, which would could mean a short inside and could cause a fire.

Hello bretrett. These are commercial toasters, often requiring a 220 volt outlet. They are common items, available new or used from most any kitchen supply store. Check in the yellow pages. Joe

In replacing switches, you must check if the ampere rating is sufficient to carry the load. Burned switches are usually due to under rated switch or loose termination of wires.

i just had the same problem, it was the power switch, i re routed wiring to bypass bagel switch and it works fine, but you will want to replace those switches as they a junkily made and the heat destraoys them every couple years
