Tv output where is it located

look at the pictures on your Dell 510 there should be 1 that looks like one of these. It is an s video port, your tv should have an s video input so you need an s video to s video cable. If not the check the inputs available on your tv and get an s video cable to fit your dell output and that will fit one of the available inputs on your tv.

How to Hook Up a Laptop to a LCD TV by an adapter?

First of all check out does both the lcd tv and laptop both have adapter input socket This is the most important step, as it will allow you to buy the right equipment. In the unlikely event that your LCD TV lacks any of the inputs above, purchase an adapter that takes one of the aforementioned output signals and converts it to a component video or composite video input that your TV will accept. Composite video is the most basic connection and is a simple yellow jack, much like you'd use to connect a DVD player. Component video is three separate plugs: a red, a blue and a green. Both methods require separate audio connection. Turn on your devices. Once you've made the connections, turn devices on. Switch your TV to the input mode that corresponds with the input you used to connect your laptop, and you should now view your laptop on your LCD TV. This will help.Good luck.

I have a 5.1 speaker setup. i have a 5.1 sony dvd amp. a ps3 and a old toshiba tv. ( the one with the orange white red plug in the back. i wanna hook up 3 speakers for front and the subwofer. how do i do...

So, you don't want to use the TV speakers, right? Hook your PS3 audio output RCA jacks to the input on the amplifier and hook the PS3 video cabe to the yellow (orange) video input of the TV. Then hook your speakers to the front or rear outputs of the amp and the sub to the sub output of the amp. If you want to use your TV speakers, you can connect them to the front or back output of the amp for a 4.1 setup. OK?

How to I hook up my pc to a TV

Check your PC for "S-Video" output or for a "HDMI" or for a "composite-video" output.

Check the back of your TV for an available S-Video input, or for an available HDMI input, or for an available "composite-video" input.

Buy a cable to connect from your output to your input.

Camcoder ,PS3 or DVD player output to Laptop screen

I've had the same problem with two other unrelated HP input products in this area myself so I understand the pain. Media Center is not really well geared for nor is very friendly in the end user component input area. I'm assuming you've already tried playing a video file from your camcorder while setting up the Media Center input settings? Try a different software that will recognize your input card. Ideally, you should use any input software that came with the card itself from the manufacturer. Contact the manufacturer for a link to the original software bundle if you can't find it from their website or you may need to research your own replacement software solution for this product.

What do I need to hook it up to an hdtv...what type of cables..DVI-D to HDMI?

Your laptop will need a HDMI output or a DVI output for HD video. If your laptop only has a VGA out the your tv will need a VGA or DVI input. You could use a vga to dvi adapter if your tv does not have a vga connector. They do have a DVI to HDMI adapter but there are a couple of problems with that. One you will not get the sound and the TV will only obtain sound from HDMI cable when connected that way and Two the TV will have problems processing the signal from the computer due to the HDMI will only process the HD signals at certain formats and the computer video can send out many different signals. I tried and I could not get my tv to process the signal so I got a video card that has a HDMI out and my blu-ray player works great.

Laptop to tv

Hi you don't have enough info to give a complete answer but maybe I can help. The modulator converts the video (and/or audio) output of a DVD player (or camcorder or video game or PC) into a channel 3/4 signal that is compatible with a TV's cable or antenna input. It makes it so the standard audio/video outputs and the cable input (even passed through a VCR) work simultaneously. So... The "S-Video to RCA" convertor plugs into the "Video In" on the modulator; this allows you to take your S-Video Signal OR your Composite Video to an "RF Coaxial Antenna" input signal. You should have 3 pcs. the S-video to 3-RCA cable and the coax cable and the modulator. Here is a link to a pic that should help http://us.st11.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.com/I/videoware_1965_3477147
