Also, i would run a memory check program, there are many out there that you can download as a bootable CD Image.

Clean install? Do you have a different Windows NT CD you can try? Is the hard drive good? Try running fdisk. OS installs are usually very easy to troubleshoot, you can count on it either being the CD or the hardware.

Reset bios password

Give this a try -

    • 1
Turn the HP RP5000 computericon1.png off. Disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet.
    • 2
Unplug the monitor, keyboard and any other peripherals from the computer
    • 3
Remove the screws holding the cover in place on the back of the computer. Slide the cover backward and remove it.
    • 4
Lift the green password jumper off of pins 1 and 2. The jumper is labeled "JPWD1."
    • 5
Place the jumper on pin 1 only.
    • 6
Replace the cover. Install the screws that hold it in place. The password is canceled when the computer restarts.

How can i remove bios password from my hp rp5000

The simple answer is open the BIOS page and clear the pass word. Press F1 or F2 or what ever your computer requires. Maybe F8 or F9 ...

If this doesn't work, yo can open the bottom (probably where the hard drive is located) and disconnect the small battery.

Thanks for your question @

I have an rp5000 pc that beeps five times, pauses and beeps again five times repeatedly

If you have the software that came with the printer, go to the next step.
If you do NOT have the software, go to the HP support site & download it.
Then uninstall all software relating to the printer.
Unplug the printer from the power and the usb from the printer to the computer.
Reboot the computer.
Install the software & follow the onscreen instructions.

My computer displayed; PRI: master disk HDDS.M.A.T Capability disabled NTLDR is missing press Ctrl + Altr + Delete So what can I do?

This means that the Windows has crashed. NTLDR is the program that loads Windows NT. Try rebooting in safe mode. If the problem still persists then reinstall Windows. Follow the link below to save your data and still reinstall Windows.

Hello i have hp rp5000 pc which have AGP port onboard but when i put graphic card in it it doesnt recognized it. I tried with another hp rp5000 bios but it doesnt work anyway-is there anysolution?

Erm, although the slot is labelled AGP1 (HEY HP Accelerated GRAPHICS Port 1 ???), it is not for a graphics card.
It is intended for an enhanced USB card that adds additional USB ports as well as 12volt and 24volt outputs.
The RP5000 was designed to be a POS (point of sale) unit and the additional ports were for devices such as barcode readers, handscanners and card readers to be plugged into.

Installing hp pos pole display

Download the HP Pole Display Windows OPOS package (sp42198) which will install both the Windows drivers for the device and the OPOS drivers for the device.
The following is the Windows Device Manager screenshot after all the drivers are loaded for the HP USB Pole Display:

NOTE : The COM port number might be different on customer's unit.

Note: The pole display driver will automatically assign the next available virtual port in the system.

HP Pole Display Setup Software Utility

Download sp41532 - HP USB Line Display Configuration Utility from HP website.
Run the file and the Utility will come up as shown below
The COM Port would always be COM1.

Change the selection to the COM port listed in the Device Manager of the unit.
