Unplug the unit for 30 seconds, then plug back in. I had this problem, and it is a solution to most modern electronic devices. it reboots the system.

I found a new peltier plate on Ebay for about $6. Supposedly they do go bad and are easy to change. They are located under the fan, under the heat sink (silver thing with fins for cooling). TEC-12705 is the part number.

Not sure if it helps much but I put new CPU thermal paste on there as well.

This will most likely not fix the problem. The blinking is most likely a over curent issue. if you disconnect peltier plate the blinking will stop. However this indicates that the peltier plate is
bad. This will need to be replaced. It is approx. a $5 part.

This will most likely fix the problm and save you from throwing this in the trash or sending back to Krups and paying more than you orginally paid for it.

Additional Information. Although the Peltier effect plate can go bad I found
an additional problem with the Krups Beer Tender design. The four
DC power supply Capacitors go bad. These are 16V electrolytic caps
3 x 1000uF and 1x500uF. All four of these caps were blown. Typically you can visibly see the camaged cpas. the top of the cap bulges out, leaks in some cases. Replace
these and the blinking screen goes away and Tender will star cooling once again. Send
me an email if any questions. mastecutor@gmail.com

I replaced all the capacitors. They were bad. However this did not solve the problem. I am not getting any power on the DC side of the board. Something else is wrong?

Thanks for the info!! You go my B90 Beertender back in operation. No blinking lights and cooling well again. I should have run the oem peltier on a 12V battery to test out whether it was bad. One should do this before ordering a replacement. Oh well...I have two backups of those. They were only about $12.

The fix was the capacitors. The (3) 1000uF were bulged. I didn't replace the 500uF because I was having a hard time tracking one down. It wasn't bulged so I didn't look any further. I bought the 1000uF capacitor replacements here for $1.44/piece.

Krups b100 does not get cold enough. How do i fix this

Maybe the beer inside is cold enough to drink, but the green led that indicates it's ok, doesn't light on. So the thermostat may be not operating well or the ambient temperature is too hot. My beertender B100 is operating without turning compressor off. The compressor never stops operating... even when external temperature is under 26 C... but the beer temperature is ok.

Krups Beertender VB5028CT (C75) totally dead now.

I had one that appeared totally dead and replaced four capacitors (~$5 to buy) and it's back up and running. If you pull the back of the unit and remove the unit attached to the power cord you'll see a pcb board. Look for any capacitors that look kind of rounded on the top (they should be flat). On mine it was a cluster of one 470 uF and three 1000 uf capacitors. Desolder those and solder in new ones. Mine were rated at 16 volts but I replaced them with 25 volt units for a bit more safety margin.

It could be the peltier or bad capacitors on the power supply.

If the lights are on/blinking, that usually means that the control board is OK, and it's the power supply that is not providing sufficient power for the cooling element to operate. This is a common issue with the Krups VB 5020 series.

Your power supply has gone bad. Mine did the same thing. Sent it to repair place (under warrenty) and it has been 2 months and it is still not back. Obviously this thing is junk as there and 100's of the same postings of this problem.. fafe it... we got ripped off. Sad because I really liked it... when it worked

Beer is not chilling and the display keeps blinking

Let me know what you find out. I un plug the thermastate and it stops blinking. If I plug back in. It starts blinking again. Regardless with or with out it plugged in the unit will
not cool below 66 degree's. I think there isosomething wrong with
the cooling agent or the thermastat
