Problem for Kenmore 53082 / 53084 Side by Side Refrigerator

The door seal contact surface is hot to the touch.

I have a side-by-side Kenmore unit. The front surface of the refrigerator where the door seal contacts it is warm, almost hot to the touch. when the door is open. With the door closed, the door edge and seal are warm.

-   Door seal area is hot to the touch. Gaskets are hot too. Is this a serious problrm?-   amcwhirter

-   The Refrigerator is brand new, 1 week old. The edge for the rubber seal contacts is so hot one cannot touch it. I thnik this must be a design flaw.-   jayfc

-   the freezer side began to make weird noises. I noticed the sealants around both freezer side and other side are hot to the touch..Please help.-   rkellum2002
