Use a S-Video cable. You can pick one up at Wal-mart.
Make sure your tv has S-video if not check to see if laptop has optical connection and tv also. Cables can be bought at Wal- Mart.

HDMI cables will also work if laptop and tv both have HDMI connections.

HOW TO HOOK UP EXTERNAL MB CRADLE DVD ROM TO MY TV?

I'm guessing what you're wanting to do is use a DVD ROM to play DVDs on your TV?

I'm sure it's possible, though the list of things in my head that would be needed done so those pieces of hardware could talk to each other is getting exponentially longer the more I think about it..

So, here's something that may be easier:

Look on your laptop and see if it's got a VGA/DVI port on it (to hook up another monitor). If it does, look on the back of your T.V. and see if it also has the same looking port. If so, just get a monitor cable and connect them. Switch your tv over to the input number that's printed next to the port where you plugged in the monitor cable while the computer is running. Boom, there you go! :) You can plan DVDs on your laptop/desktop and just drag the window over to your TV as though it was a second monitor (you can also set up your player so it auto starts on that screen too).

I can't get my Acer 5610 Laptop to connect to my LG LCD TV. It just says no signal.... I am using a 15 Pin VGA Cable.

Once connected the LCD press Fn + F8 to switch the monitors. You cannot use both the screens at the same time.
If pressing Fn and F8 does not help Try other combinations of function keys with Fn

You need the TV set to the correct AV channel and then you will probably need to use keys on the keyboard to swap from the laptop screen to the external monitor (TV). On my laptop i have to press Fn and F4

Watch laptop movies on TV?

What you would need is a VGA to RCA converter cable. Something like this. Once hooked up, use your Fn key combination to switch the view from the internal monitor on the laptop to the external monitor, now your TV.
