Go to settings... and view the connection... select the little arrow to
the right of the name of the connection.. and select "forget this
connection" turn the wifi off... then back on.. and connect back on the
network and it should work. it fixed my mine. i had the same issue.

try unsecuring your network for a test run and see if your ipod can connect if it can theres a problem in the security between the ipod and the router if not then its in the ipod try conecting it to the pc and updating the software its running
vista is a hassle in all my experiences, have you tried completely uninstalling itunes and reinstalling your brower is it only the browser that cannot connect to the internet or is it other programs too? you could try using a system restore point
try this! If your iTouch says you are connected to your network but you can't surf and you've been able to connect in the past...you have to reset your network connections on your iTouch.
Go to Settings Go to General Go down to Reset Go to Reset Network Settings It will ask for your iTouch Passcode...enter it Then, hit the red "Reset Network Settings" After that, go back to "Wi-Fi" in Settings... ...and connect to your network again. It might ask you for your WEP password, if it does, enter it. The IP Address, Subnet Mask, Router and DNS fields should now have entries in them. Surf Away!!
