Question about NetGear WIRELESS-G WGR614 802.11G WIRELESS ROUTER ($20.00 M.I.RebateTill 06/30/2004) (NETWGR614)
Hi. i am using a netgear wireless router. however, i do not have the installation cd. once i plug in the router, it prompts me for a password (no username, just a password). this password is usually generated by the cd software. how can i use my router without the installation cd?
You do not need the disk
While it is powered up look for the reset button on the back and put a pencil or other non-metallic onto the button and hold it in for 10 seconds
It will reset and set the username to "admin" and the password to "password" or "admin"
If this does not work do not put in a username but enter "admin" for the password
You can then use the setup wizard to connect the internet broadband
