No audio ran a check and says the audio is working but I can't get any sound thru the speakers

I don't want to make you feel like I think your stupid but have you checked to see if the speakers are working? It's easy, ust unplug them from the computer and plug them into a MP3 player or anything that uses headphones to make sure the speakers are working, if not figure out the problem with them, batteries, is it plugged into power, is it turned up, etc.
If you know the speakers are working, click on the volume control and check to see if the mute box is checked, if you have a expanded volume control check every channel for the mute check box. if there is no check in the mute check box's make sure all the sliders controls are turned up.
If your still having problems try to reload the drivers for your sound card and see if that fixes it. Finally if you have a extra sound card replace the card and see if the other card works and go from there.
Some worms, malware, and viruses can check the mute boxes, also some programs (IE: games and other programs that uses the sound system) can have automatic settings that can mute the volume and does not un-mute it when you close the program, making the sound un-available for other things until you uncheck the mute boxes.
Check the mute boxes, reload the sound drivers, check the functioning of the speakers.
Good luck!

NO SOUND FROM MY COMPUTER

Check the Mute button make sure it is not selected, also check the volume level, move the volume setting higher or to max.
Check the audio chip is OK by plugging headphones into the audio out/headphone socket.
If it is OK then most likely the speakers are faulty and they need to be replaced.

Denon avr 592 no sound

Hi,
First of all check all the speakers. Maybe all the speakers gone out because of the loud blast. Also check in the tuner mode. Is there is any sound. If there is some problem in the avr then it will show the fault and will go into protection mode.

You can check the speakers with a battery from any one of the remote. Take the leads of each speakers and connect the lead to the battery terminals. If the speaker is ok then it will make a small cracking sound each time when you connect its wire to the battery.

I have a Samsung LE40B650T2 - no sound direct from the TV

It sounds that the sound processing section [digital circuts] are working well, and the fault must be either to the speakers, settings or to analogue audio amplifier section. Make sure that the Mute function is OFF. If it is OFF, and still you do not get audio output by tV speakers, surely the fault must be to audio amplifier circuits, provided speakers are OK. If your TV has a headphone out socket, this socket should also checked for proper interconnection.

I have picture but no sound. Checked for mute button, increased/decreased volume, unplugged tv and still nothing.

some sets will have an option to turn off the speakers (different from mute); this is used when you want your tv to output to a sound system with external speakers. check your menu settings for something which disables tv speakers--that is probably your issue.

Remote has locked sound for my tv,how do i rectify?

I assume you are not talking about the mute button.

Do you want sound played through the TV speakers or through an external sound system? I once worked on a TV that was set to mute the internal speakers and send the sound only to the external sound output jacks (fortunately the owner remembered he had done this before we got into the sound circuit - the set had been out of commission for a while with another problem).

Without knowing what model you have, I can only suggest you look through your manual for instructions on setting up the TV for use with an external stereo receiver. This may tell you how you got there so you can figure out how to undo it. If you don't have the manual, you'll have to hunt through the on-screen menus for the sound output setting.

My volume went out and yes I checked the mute/un-mute button.

Let verify first to narrow down to where the problem can be. First, check the on screen sound set up menu to make sure the speakers are not set to OFF. If the setting is OK, then attach the powered PC speakers to the Audio Line out RCA jacks to see if you can get the sound there, if you do, then the problem can be in the power amp circuits, if you do not get the sound at RCA jacks, then the problem can be in the sound processor circuit. Please post back what you find.
