That is a drawing number for the IC itself. I will need the model of the TV and the location number for that IC to be able to look up the Toshiba part number. The location number will be silk screened onto the pc board where it came from.
Good Day, deon453; Sounds like a convergence problem. Corrective Action:Replace the defective Convergence Output IC Part Number 23905094 (STK392-110) using the revised “T” version IC Part Number 23135090 (STK392-110T). When Convergence Output failure is detected, it’s recommended that both IC’s be changed to the “T” type IC version. Good Luck, Big Irish.
YES - - - Will send the service manual with disassembly instructions - - just send me an email and remind me of the model number. I get nearly 3000 emails a day and I'm over 50 so I'm likely to forget this post in an hour or two. :)
I emailed Hitachi and they sent a new light engine to my local electronics store that they do business with. All I had to pay for was the installation which was today. I did not have to pay for the part or shipping. My tv is just like new again and the red glow is gone. I did not realize how bad it had gotten. Do not call the regular customer service because they cannot or do not want to help.
