In this case, the 0 is not needed in the model number. (who would have thought?) So you need a WB44T10010 bake element.

My Kenmore #79047153401 baking function is not working yet the broiler is functional as well as the warming drawer.

i looked up your model number and it comes up as a duel fuel, gas on top and electric in the stove,i would first unplug it and read out the bake element, check it for continuity, you have to pull off at least one of the wires, set the meter to say 20k,touch the leads together and make sure your meter reads it,then touch the meter leads to both sides of the element,if it stays on 1 the element is bad,if you get any other reading other than 1 then the element is good.if it's good now you have to check to see if you're getting 240 volts to the element, this will be easier if you pull out the stove and remove the back panel and you can check it this way because you have to do this with power going to the stove,if you are getting 240 volts to the element you could have a broken wire or a bad board but most likely it will be the element.also if i'm wrong and this has an ignitor check that out with a meter but like i say this comes up with electric in the stove and gas on top.the bake element part number is 318255401 and it's around 95 dollars, this is on the sears site, hope this helps,http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/Kenmore-elite-Parts/Range-Parts/Model-79047153401/0583/0122008/R0309147/00003?blt=06&prst=0&shdMod=79047153401 copy and paste for the sears parts site.

I hit 350 and start on my range and sparks flew out of both sides and now the oven does not work. The stove works but not the oven. can you tell me how to fix this.

It sounds as if the bake element has failed. They cost around 8 to 20 dollars. You will need to unplug the stove first. (Shutting off the stove breaker is good to do before unplugging the stove as an added precaution). On the back of the stove there is a metal
cover with a couple of 1/4 inch hex screws. remove this cover and unplug the bake
element. Then remove the two hex screws inside the oven and slide out the bake element. The model number is located below the oven door behind the drawer to
purchase a replacement. Hope this helps.

I need the part number for bake element

If the model number you listed this question under is correct, the part number for a bake element is either WB44T10049 or WB44T10011. The part is listed as item 251 under the "Body Parts" listing. A COMPLETE MODEL NUMBER will determine which part is correct for your range. The model number is usually located on a nameplate around the oven door, or lower drawer opening. Some ranges will have this information on the back of the operator console.

Parts may be purchased online at any of the following websites:

searspartsdirect.com
pcappliancerepair.com
appliancepartspros.com
repairclinic.com

All these sites offer competitive pricing, so shop and compare. The first three sites listed include exploded view parts illustrations to assist you with locating and properly identifying any parts you may need.

If you need guidance on how to replace an electric oven element, the following link explains how:

If you have any questions, please post back and let me know. I hope this helps you.

I have a GE spectra JBP24 model. I turned on the oven and in a few minutes noticed a funny light inside. When I opened it up the element was burning. I unplugged the stove and when it cooled down, I went...

This is a common but spectacular occurrence when a bake element fails. You can go to your local appliance parts store with your model # and they may have a replacement element in stock.
Remember to rinse the baking soda out prior to using the oven.

While baking my wife noticed sparks coming out of the baking element or coil. can we continue to use the stove top or should we leave it unplugged.also how much does it cost to replace the element

It sounds like the element shorted out and needs replacement. I would not continue to use the oven, although it should be ok to use the stove.

It's difficult to say what a new element plus installation will be, but you can call around and get estimates. Have the model number, type and serial number available if possible before you call.

Lower elment not working

The lower element is known as the bake element. It is controlled by a bake relay on the control board. Either the relay on the control board has failed, or the element has failed. The most common fail is the element itself. The following link explains how to replace a heating element (if required):

http://www.fixya.com/support/r469407-replacing_bake_or_broil_element_in

If the model number is correct, the part number for a replacement bake element is WB44T10011. You purchase replacement parts at any of the following websites:

searspartsdirect.com
pcappliancerepair.com
appliancepartspros.com
repairclinic.com

All these sites offer great service with competitive pricing, so shop and compare.

If you have any questions, please let me know. I hope this help you.

Baking element

oh bleep, right? well, if you're lucky this will get you going again. 1. disconnect power to range. 2. remove back metal cover just above range power cord (usually 5 quarter inch hex screws) 3. look for burnt off wire leading to/from bake element. If yes, 4. strip ends of broken wire and splice with ceramic wire nut if no 4. bad news. replace ERC (electronic range control) you fried something on the board. It's got the clock display and all the electronics behind it.
