Question about Microsoft Xbox 360 Console
My son has had his 360 since Oct 2007. A few weeks ago, he got one red light in the lower right quadrant and an E80 error. Everything I can find on the internet relates this issue to updating to the NXE. I also find postings mentioning the R6T3 resistor. The resistor has not been removed at any time and no downgrading has occurred on this box. The 360 was bought brand new, no refurb. I have contacted Microsoft but it is like talking to a wall.
Can anyone help?
Make sure your A/V (or component) cables and power cable are connected properly. Take your hard drive off and turn the system on, then if it's fine turn it off, replace the HDD, and turn it on again.
if that dont work try this

If you get the Xbox 360 1 red light message, it means that the problem is either with the DVD drive, or with the hard drive.
Fortunately, the Xbox 360 1 red light message is not something that you should worry about. In order to identify which of the two drives the Xbox 360 1 red light messages is referring to, just look the code number that the screen displays. DVD drive errors are identified with the codes E64, E65 and E66, whereas hard drive errors are identified with codes E67, E69 and E79.
Once you identify which error the Xbox 360 1 red light message is pointing to, fixing it is really easy. The guide available at Fix-xbox360.info will tell you what to do in each case, as well as what to do in case you get any of the other Xbox 360 lights messages. Check it out.
