Re: my frigidaire refrigerator is broken
Under the cap of the top end of your freezer door is a plug. Unplug it. If this is helpful, please post as such. There is more to look at. Please use premium chat so I can help you while you help me. TY

I understand that the door sensor goes off on your Frigidaire Affinity washer, model# LAFW7000LW0, when the door is shut. I suggest resetting your appliance, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. Sometimes there can be a miscommunication between the different boards inside your appliance. Restore power and start any cycle. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.
The part is not available thru any of the authorized suppliers and would take 3 weeks minimum to arrive if ordered. I took a HARD magnet off the fridge door (the ones that hold notes and pictures up) and glued it to where the Reader Sensor would be just behind the frame where the Dispenser Drawer closes. Presto, the washing machine worked and did not display the DDO error message.
If your Frigidaire washingmachine
started spinning, but then stopped, verify that the power cord is still
connected to the outlet. See if the outlet blew by plugging in a
different appliance into the outlet. See if you blew a fuse. A blown
fuse usually is either black or has broken wires. Replace the fuse. If
you have a circuit breaker instead of a fuse box, reset the circuit
breaker if it's been tripped. Check the lid switch, which is located
inside the main housing of the washing machine, near the door frame. If
the switch is burned out, order a new part from a Frigidaire parts
The pump's sole responsibility
is to remove water during the spin cycle. If the pump isn't working
properly, see if it's clogged with debris or clothing. Use needle-nose
pliers to remove these items. Check the pump pulley, which is connected
to the pump. This component must move freely for the pump to work. If it
won't turn, purchase a new pump pulley since you can't usually fix this
Check the door latch assembly if
the door isn't closing correctly. If any of these components are
broken, order a new part from a Frigidaire parts dealer. If you do not,
won't start spinning since it believes the door isn't closed. Your
Frigidaire washing machine won't start the spin cycle until the lid or
door is closed. Always close the lid, and remove any items preventing
the lid from fully closing. Always close the dispenser drawer.
Never over- or under-load your
washing machine. Your Frigidaire washer may not enter the spin cycle if
the load is too large, since this can damage the washing machine. Remove
a few pieces of clothing. If the load is too small, add a few similar
items to the washing machine. Check the internal belt, drive motor and
motor coupling. If any of these components are broken or very worn, they
may not work properly, preventing the washer from entering the spin
cycle. Order replacement parts from a parts dealer. Check the tub and
basket bearings, and get new ones if the current ones have broken
components or are defective.
it came from your dispencer ..it activates a sensor on the unit right side,,,,take your dispencer out turn it over and that magnet goes on the left side when dispencer is right side up....yes that magnet is neeeded to start unit...onthejob
It is the door lock that may be broken, that's what happened with my maching last summer. The lock is made of plastic if you can imagine. So if you slam the door it can break. A washing machine gets wear and tear how can closing a door be owners fault?
This is a crappy machine in terms of maintenance, it is a maintenance nightmaire!!
Yes on the dispenser door there is a magnetic switch that looks like a thin black cylinder similar to a short pen . About 1 1/12 long. It may have been dislodged. Make sure the dispenser door is closing all the way.
you need a part number 5366021400 latch kit I think take your model and serial number to you local appliance dealer and they will probably have one on the shelf and its so easy to install just pull the old broken part out and replace with new one
